LOST IDENTITY: Bold Terror Attack in Rawalpindi

Terrorist’s striked Rawal Pindi cantonment today in the boldest attack so far. According to Media reports a white Suzuki wan was stopped at check point between GHQ Army and RA Bazaar around 11:30. The terrorists, according to few reports were wearing Army uniforms started firing on the security forces. Immediately Special Forces along with Police Elite force was rushed to the spot who according to initial confirmed reports so far(its 1248) killed 4 terrorists and arrested 2 of them. According to ISPR Operation has ended 4 security personal died in this battle of 50 minutes.

This attack is second attack in Past 48 hours. Yesterday Terrorists targeted Peshawar and killed 52 innocent civilians.

Pakistan has completed its preparations for Waziristan operation. Today’s attack may be retaliation from Taliban side. But the level of Planning reminds us of attack on Srilankan Team Which Happened in March this Year.

Terrorist Planned and executed this attack with superb planning but fortunately none of them was able to reach even GHQ Gate.

In our First Program of Centre Stage IG FC Major General Tariq Khan revealed that real power lies in Hands of TTP HANDLERS. These handlers control TTP through funding and plan for them operations against Pakistan.

The kind of hot blood that is going on, it is understandable the reaction shown by everyone however did any one try to rationalize the situation? We see a lot of distress over the KLB, then a blast occurs near an Indian consulate in Afghanistan, then one in Peshwar and now an attack on GHQ. Pakistan isnt gaining damn thing out of it, then who is, it appears some one wants to mount continous pressure on the PA and wants to remain engaged while things like KLB gets passed without much noise.
To me it seems more like an attempt to diverge attention of every one who is opposing the KLB for start and then there are of course other issues much of what we never heard of and our beloved GOP is nodding secretly.

Terrorists Prevented From Infiltrating GHQ

US-linked Private Security Firms’ Involvement Suspected

An attempt to attack the General Head Quarters of the Pakistan Armed Forces has been foiled earlier today as four militants were shot dead while trying to enter the premises. ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations) spokesman Major General Athar Abbas confirmed that four attackers dressed in army uniforms started firing on guards when stopped at the gate.

RAWALPINDI – Loud gunfire and blasts were heard near the Pakistan army’s headquarters in Rawalpindi at 11:30 this morning after a team of gunmen brandishing assault rifles and grenades tried to break into the fiercely guarded compound on Saturday, sparking a raging gun battle with troops outside Islamabad.

According to witnesses, four militants in a white Suzuki van attempted to enter the GHQ premises from gate number one. When intercepted by the checkpoint guards, they started firing indiscriminately and throwing hand grenades while making their way towards gate number two, where security officials promptly acted, shooting the terrorists dead after a short but intense pitched battle. It is not clear how many security officials were martyred in the exchange.

The entire area has been cordoned off and roads leading to the GHQ have been closed for traffic, and army helicopters have begun hovering over the GHQ.

The van is said to contain explosives while sophisticated weapons and communication equipment have been found both inside the van as well as on the dead militants, which points towards possible involvement of US private security agencies operating in Islamabad. These private security firms are employed by the US Embassy in Islamabad, and have been provided with banned sophisticated weapons after special approvals were obtained from Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

Security forces recently raided the offices of one such agency (Inter Risk) and recovered a large cache of sophisticated heavy weapons, while arresting its owner Ali Jaffar Zaidi.

Investigation conducted by police revealed that Inter Risk had made an agreement with an American security company, DynCorp, to provide security to US installations and diplomats and security personnel along with protecting their interests in Pakistan.

The firm was also asked to recruit security guards, especially those who can qualify for joining Special Services Group, and arranged a place for their training.

Sources said that during interrogation the accused disclosed names of some bigwigs, including officials of the Interior Ministry, allegedly involved in provision of licences of prohibited bore weapons to the security firm.

But the investigators are reluctant to take the ‘big shots’ into custody, the sources said, adding that a request had been made to the government by senior police officers.

With this morning’s attack on the General Head Quarters of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, one hopes serious action will be taken to shut down these US private security firms and their training centers, as well as in investigating the involvement of the US Embassy as well as interior ministry officials in anti-state activities.

Ofcourse they would like to hurt Pakistan for taking the aid from the "Shaitaan" America. The other reason for these attacks can be attributed to the pressure they are feeling in Waziristan. They know the army is about to attack and they want to demoralize the army and public support.

I think we have people on this forum who believe that taliban is getting funds from drugs and the gulf states, then we have those who believe it is the Indians and Americans who are supporting them. One thing is for sure though, the Taliban is enemy of Pakistan. So Pakistanis should be united and strong in destroying this enemy. Waziristan will be a true test of this countries resolve and determinance.

That could be the case but then again lets not forget there was no TTP until Yanks came to afghanistan. While no one seconds this fact that these so called taliban wanna be are a threat to Pakistan and should be eliminated with haste,however one should also keep in the mind the policies our so called allies have for us and the game plan. Obviously there is a bigger picture here,from black water in Pakistan to the controversial KLB bill, bomb blast outside Indian embassy, it seems something bigger then the taliban are in play here. Four attackers killed as GHQ gunbattle ends: army

RAWALPINDI: An attack on Pakistani army headquarters in Rawalpindi, near Islamabad, ended on Saturday with all four attackers killed, a military spokesman told Pakistani television.

‘All the four terrorists have been killed. The fighting is over now. The situation is under control,’ Major General Athar Abbas told private TV channel Geo in a live interview.
