Very well said, but Pakistan is not a poor country, it is sitting on huge natural resources and is a role model for the entire Muslim world when it comes to science and technology, Iran is also another role model for the Islamic world and is doing extremely well against many odds.
We as Muslims are proud of both of you.

My friend, you can not compare Pakistan to Iran.These are 2 different countries with different situations and goals.
India achieved nuclear weapons,Pakistan was in hurry to build one too. You are saying Iran can not have a nuke in 2013, while Pakistan did it in 1987.It's not even right to compare.It's not like we WANT to build a nuclear weapon and we can't.We don't want it and we don't go for it.If we wanted, we would've had them for years by now.And there is simply no proof that Iran is making nuclear weapons,no matter how much propaganda westernc countries spread.Do you think we have a shortage of scientists or something?Also, NK has nukes now, I don't see how it's technologically advanced.Nukes are too 20 centurish!They have no use in today's world.

You are simply making fun of Iran, because you are speaking out of emotions, not logic.Believe me, mocking others and degrading is the easiest thing to do.People who have no other means for a proper discussion do it.
About making Jets, well Pakistan has its won JF-17,and good for you.But we won't forget that it was built with huge assistance of China and still I appreciate it.Iran on the other hand, can not even recieve engines for its jets and should build every single piece inside the country.That means we have to work more and building something takes us much more time.
Pakistan is a great country with great oppurtunities and potential, no doubt, and I don't feel embarassed to say it,unlike many many members here who can not simply say anything positive about other countries except their own.

At the end, again, you should not compare yourself with Iran.Our priorities, governments, strategies, doctorine,economy,population and demography are too different.

A general question: What makes the Pak-Fa or F22 any different? Both are untested platforms and their specs thus far have mostly been hype.

You should take it in to consideration that countries that built Pak-Fa and F-22, Russia and U.S have like 70 years experience in making aircraft and jets.While Iran is in the beginning yet, and we have a long way ahead.That won't stop us from trying and improving though.No matter how much others degrade us.Every country started from some point, they weren't superpowers the moment they were born.

Guys stop making comparisons and arguing between who is better on an emotional basis, if you think Iran is better fine if Pakistan fine if Turkiye fine just no need to degrade each others country. Each country is in a different situation and therefore with different factors it's difficult to make comparisons what we can do is make raw comparisons where situational factors are ignored.


As for the Ghaher 313 well there's a lot we don't know about this jet, the video posted of the jet flying does appear to be a RC model as pointed out by one of our Serbian members, he did a screen shot of the video where it shows the Ghaher 313 very small compared to the center line of the airstrip, real jets are much bigger. Now obviously the Ghaher 313 shown in photos is a mock up for display purposes only.

With that said we don't know of a real test flight video, if Iran did make this plane well it won't change things much it is a 3rd generation aircraft according to Iranian news agency which has cannibalized parts from other aircraft and some upgrades.

In Iran's First military reference site , There is only about 15 pages of discussion about F313 , but here 33 pages ! and the intersting thing is that about 30 pages are about insulting Iran , heh ....

Man I am saving this post in my personal collection. Great post. You also forgot Pakistan defeated Soviet Union and thus liberated the CARs, Eastern Europe, and East Germany with the fall of the Soviet Union. We liberated our Turkic brothers in CARs our gift to Enver Pasha and the Turan.

Qaher-313's design look interesting, bubble canopy, single engine, possibly Helmet Mounted Display (as it has no HUD in this mock-up) and possibly some new research behind such small size jet with so big canards.

Problems/limitations:
1. Its a mock-up merely for psy-ops, original design will not be rolled out in a uear.
2. Poor cockpit design, with two very small MFDs.
3. Engine? will it be enough?
4. Small size means lesser internal fuel (which means external fuel loading) and non-stealth profile.
5. Smaller internal fuel means poor Range, so its merely a small size stealth interceptor; provided that its really stealth.
6. details of RAM coating unknown, a black painted aircraft is not necessarly stealth
7. Induction in Iranian AF, never in a decade. Being allegedly more sophisticated than Azarakhsh and Saeqeh; Iran's previous fighter jets it will hardly saw any production line.
8. Smaller weapon bay, meaning external weapon loads (if such small structure of wing is strong enough to hold enough weapons).

Conclusion:
Good topic for discussion only, not a design for operational role in Iranian AF. No offence with IRIAF's well wishers; but its only good looking and lack the basics of stealth design.

Nobody is attacking Iran. And what does 'Iran' mean? Iran is much larger than a bunch of illiterate Pasdars unveiling what seems to be a cheap school-project. Iran has enough capable men and women who could, if they had the opportunity, make something much better than what they are showing now. If you announce you are going to unveil a 'ultra-advanced stealth fighter' than you should expect that everybody is putting it under a microscope. If you can stand the heat, get out of the chicken.

Nobody is criticizing Iran. We are criticizing the men who are behind this project and try to fool the world, while the capabilities to produce something advanced is in the country, if they only would stop behaving like a bunch of primitive dictators. We have the largest brain drain in the world.
