Do you remember this signature of a member ? There was a discussion with other Turkish members and trolling in international section and offence, as it happened yesterday to respected member @Bubblegum Crisis
I have no obstacles against you.

Chief, please delete this post . It was a short explanation, cause the member insisted in it and I can't send him a PM.

I bet Isis will be terrified knowing that the mighty German Airforce won't be flying bombing raids over them until they relocate their mighty assets to Jordan..:cheesy:

.
Germans will go to one of these airbases :

Muwaffaq Salti Air Base

or

Prince Hassan Air Base (H5)

The minister would inspect the Jordanian air base Muwaffak Salti and receive the report of an explorers there, reported the "Spiegel". In addition, political talks about a possible stationing with the Jordanian government in the capital Amman were planned.

so much mistrust and animosity between some NATO members and Turkey. I can't believe we are actually selling the F-35 to Turkey. what is stopping Turkey from sending one of these F-35 to Russia or China??

but this situation could be easily solved if NATO had a longer ranged fighter bomber like the F-111.

LOL You got a point. However, Turkey is still part of NATO(they have been for over half a century now) and I don't see them leaving anytime soon since it has and still serves their interests. So I don't see why they shouldn't be sold the F-35.
Moreover, I don't see them sending the F-35 to Russia or China. They are not allies and in Russia's case they are rivals(they have been for over a century now) and their interests don't really converge either. So I don't see that happening to be honest. Everything will depend on western powers and their policies.

LOL the German military is only there for reconnaissance missions(that's the mandate they were given by their government) nothing else. They don't carry out airstrikes or attack /offensive missions in Syria and Iraq against ISIS unlike the U. S, U. K and France. So you are right to some extent that their mission can be covered by other western powers in Syria and Iraq. However, Germans reconnaissance mission is still an added bonus to the coalition. :)

I just don't know what to think about Turkey. Erdogan is becoming more authoritarian and Islamic in nature. seems like he wants to bring back the Ottoman Empire.

ever since the attempted coup he has pivoted towards Russia.

Turkey is different and difficult. When I watch Turkish commercials, I recognize that every second one is about 'the highest interest rate ever' even though interest is forbidden in Islam. Erdogan might be closer to Putin, but he is the only Islamic politician in Turkey who always defends our NATO membership against any kind of criticism. It is true, he opens more religious schools than ever but at the same time he implements strict and comprehensive science education in those schools. So, yes, I can understand your confusion. Turkey is hard to understand.

It doesn't matter for the US if he's a dictator or not, it matters if he's obedient. Sisi is worse but obedient, thus not a problem. Erdogan is an idiot, but not a Saudi king style thug. However, he's a bit less obedient, so not fully under the control of the US.

Mike, buddy you disappointed me. I thought you are an objective commenting expert.
You forgot to mention that Turkey is a vital part of the Anti - ISIS alliance. ( Incirlik is in service for the allies and Diyarbakir airbase for US- SAR and Special Operations )
Turks eliminated more than 3700 ISIS terrorists most with airstrikes, howitzer shelling and Special Operations with operations Euphrates shield and conquered ISIS second capital Al-BAB in Syria. ( after Raqqa)
AL-BABwas defended by almost 4000 ISIS terrorists and fortified with Tunnels, ATGMs, IEDS and VBIEDS. Turkish Army lost 70 soldiers and FSA almost 700.
How much ISIS terrorists defend RAQQA ?

@C130 Dude, I can't take you serious. Why do you need F-111s, you have enough B2,B1,
B-52 and Tomahawks.
