You are clearly not excessively well-read, and I have nothing to do with such. But I do not like distortions of history or mis-statements of fact. Not even when you are attack, as you evidently are, by people who gloat over imagined superiority. The way to shut them up is to cite the facts, not to distort them nor to invent them.

This is one of perhaps two or at most three posts I have spent on your posts, and I do not wish to spend more. At present, I will confine myself to correcting your errors.

(1) Egypt was an evolved civilisation several centuries before Rome emerged from the mists of time as an obscure little city. There is nothing that justifies your utterly ignorant belief that the Egyptians lived in caves; there were only a handful of caves in Upper Egypt of an ancient age, far before anything you can imagine, where some signs and indications of civilisation are to be found. The pyramids, for your information, belonged not to the oldest period of Egyptian civilisation but to a middle period, and you are not saying anything impressive by pointing to an odd exceptional pyramidal structure here or there.

(2) Your second point is dead wrong. The cities of Egypt were evolved marvels to the marauding Greeks, who went on to build their own cities, their own civilisation, destroyed it and then rebuilt these a second time to the wonder of the rest of Europe. It was only around the developed stages of this second phase of city-building that Rome even claims to have appeared on the scene. By then, Egypt was fully matured, even in decline as a civilisation, and had fallen to the power of Persia, and contributed to the naval contingent of the Persian forces, along with the Phoenicians.

(3) Modern Europe was heavily influenced by Rome, by Christianity and by the evolution of Germanic concepts of kingship and state. America's influence by Rome was a derivative of the influence of Rome on Europe, and was modified by all that happened to Europe, over centuries of the Enlightenment, the Renaissance, the Reformation.....it certainly did not look at Rome for its inspiration.

(4) National Socialism had the word Socialism in its title, but had nothing to do with Socialism. They were, as your attacker has put it, closer to Italian Fascism than to anything else. They are the real ancestors of the movement to which you belong. They were bitterly opposed to Socialism, to the extent that they finally destroyed themselves and your intellectual forebears when they attacked the heirs of Socialism, the Russians.
