Erm... I think you are confused between purchasing power and personal preference. One defines your class while the other defines your ideology.

There are woking class nieghbourhoods in Pak and then there are so called gated communities which range from lower middle class to upper class. And all different kind of people live in all those places.

There are so called westernised people from lower class to upper class. And then there are religious type of people in all different classes. And then there are so called cultural ones in all the classes.

All these people with different personal preferences in different attire/lifestyle live in all diferent kinds of niegbourhoods.

These neighbourhoods/societies define your class/purchasing power not your personal preference regarding idealogy.

It would be like expecting me to ride a donkey, live in a traditional non electric home, carry no mobile etc in Pakistan because that is all western consumer culture foisted in Pakistan. That's a strawman because majority of Pakistanis don't do that nor was the claim made by anyone.

Right, well then she needs to say what needs to be said instead of sugar coating it with "oh, I've magically fallen in love with Pakistani culture".

I get it, Pakistan and South Asia in general is overpopulated and has one of the largest populations under the age of 30 and therefore a large market for fashion industry and some people want to ca$h in for selfish reasons. But don't claim to be moving to Pakistan because you somehow fell in love with its culture when that's not the case.

Alot actually. Just look at the amount of add revenue some people are earning on youtube alone by making South Asia (Pakistan, Bangladesh, India) oriented content. As @Indus Pakistan mentioned, affluent people go where the money goes.
