How hard was it to add some, mag and gp pouches?
There are no pouches to carry extra ammo, how you gonna do that?
If you say they can wear a Load bearing Vest on top of it, well the vest is already bulky. That kind of setup works with slick plate carries. Not with these juggernaut vests.
Was quartermaster aware of this or not, if he was then why he recomended this?
It seems like unit was worried about their cut after ordering them from lowest bidder possible

It’s likely the other plate carriers and gear were in poor condition, so the regiment put on their newest gear for the COAS inspection.

Even so, a few Molle pouches wouldn’t go amiss

Im sorry but Armies have been overshadowed by airforces and navies in the current centuries. A strong navy or airforce will always be a better asset than an army. Our defence budget needs to go to either other branch. We need nuclear subs, aircraft carriers and stealth bombers. Navy and Airforce investment always leads to technological progress. You cant make DHA's in water or air.

Any conflict between Pakistan and India will involve Kashmir. A navy is pointless in Kashmir, and an airforce can only do so much because of the mountainous terrain. A lot of the fighting will always be done by infantry soldiers, as even armour has a very tough time in Kashmir

If it is the same Banna top then it is very interesting messaging from Army. That we can,in response to their adventurism , remove their crown jewels very easily. Also saying war will be taken to enemy is clear change of tune. So, let's hope it's followed by visible solid action.

Whats so new?

Have seen every new Chief going to LoC, praying with the jawaans, joining them on Eid, going to families of the martyr.

Granted PR is important but we need a marked improvement in the military in terms of performance. That is withdrawal from politics and having an army that can fight and adapt to changing times.

Inspections bring out uniforms and equipment not worn during usual combat conditions.

Uniform Inspection on the front line? I don’t think so. soldiers on the Front line are usually always issued and required to wear the best gear Army has to offer. Then again they aren’t actually in combat at the moment to have dirt on uniform.

LBV are history, now militaries use these bulletproof vest with load-out loops on them. These “juggernauts” vest provide better protection than plate carriers. They cover more area and provide protection against shrapnel. Plate carriers are usually worn by fast tactical units, suited for close quarters combat.

Why do he needs grenade and mag pouches for? When was the last time Indian charged at a Pakistani post on Loc, since Kargil? He is at a stationary post (bunker) on top of a mountain with closes possible target atleast more than a KM away on another mountain.

FF fitness standards are one of the best I have seen after NLI.

The two weapons in the video are a single tube version of the Type 63 rocket launcher and a Tow ATGM missile . First is used to provide saturation fire usually with phosphorus rounds and second is used as a bunker buster. A good combination. Both offensive weapons. The other interesting thing was the picture of the targeted Indian position on the wall right next to the rocket launcher. In my opinion the video was choreographed to send a message and they are analyzed by the enemy. The Indian media obviously picked it up big time.
