Gen (R) Hamid Gul Blasts Geo & Geo’s Love Affair with India While Sitting on Geo

. .
My post in this thread should clear your doubts.
Is literacy level a basic measure of morality, humanity, honesty & character of a nation?

As far as India's comparison to Pakistan in this matter. India is quite far ahead in rule of law in general, female literacy far higher, female participation in labour also far higher. Secondly, laws in India are tilted heavily in favour of women and against men - the opposite is in Pakistan.

All these factors are changing India. Rural India has all the problems that Pakistan has, but Urban India has reduced these to a large extent.
my friend i asked you to answer 2 questions without bring pakistan into your answer.

i will ask again.
what is the status of women in india??
how are women treated in india?
please don't bring pakistan or any country into your answer just simply answer these 2 questions.

If you listen to General (retired) Hamid Gul carefully, you will learn some declassified state secrets that a layman would not learn from anywhere else.

The declassified thing is "JIHAD", and everybody know who was behind the JeM, LeT or Taliban in 90s. So, there is nothing classified.

I misunderstood the question then. I thought you wanted an answer in relation to Pakistan.
In absolute terms, the status of women is different in rural and urban India.
In urban India, their status is equal to that of men.
In rural India, while legally their status is equal, but society has not evolved enough for this to happen. They are still second class citizens.

Hey Mr preacher introspection is good habit

A Thomson Reuters Foundation expert poll last year ranked India as the world's fourth most dangerous country for a woman, behind only Afghanistan, Congo and Pakistan.

Even though the practice is outlawed, 300,000 to 600,000 female fetuses are aborted every year in India because of the preference for boys, according to a 2011 study by The Lancet. And the discrimination that begins while in the womb continues throughout a girl's life.

I used the phrase 'second class citizens'. Thats quite powerful if you got the meaning.

you couldn't be more wrong…
are you accusing a retired army chief of being a supporter of terrorism??

People here try to make hamid gul as some kind of "godfather" of every radical organization in pakistan even though the chap is retired from the army some 25 years ago. Very few perhaps know that he was actually arrested and sent to jail in the reign of mushy because he participated in some rallies for restoration of judiciary, I still remember that event as I saw its news on tv channels in 2007, if he was so powerful and godfather of everyone why was he humiliated by mushy at that time. People just live in their own self-created conspiracy world.
Yes Hamid gul has nationalist personality but what is wrong with that, he is not the first person in pakistan to belong to nationalist ideology, every second person in pakistan is a nationalist. It is just that pakistani media is being controlled by leftist garbage these days and people are surprised when someone like Gen. Gul expresses his nationalistic views on the television. The current pakistani electronic media is a heaven for leftist trash and that is a fact.
