It is laughable that Biden is asking for a 'pause' in fighting so that the Gazans would let the hostages go!!! Oh man!! Whatever little leverage the Gazans have is because of the hostages and letting them go would mean even that leverage would be gone.

Mostly correct, except I disagree with stance on Arab countries. It is not their weak morality that is holding them back but calculated self-interest. They have learnt from previous experience that getting into Palestinian's fight is expensive and thankless. I posted this history lesson earlier:

Unlike most posters here, I don't think I ever called the GCC Arab countries as 'cowards' or this or that. They have been beaten by a Superpower and its allies into submission. But, Yes, I did use the phrase 'Israel's $itches' in the quoted post because that's what they will become: Hostage to whatever trade/commerce/mineral/exploration rights dictated by Tel Aviv/Washington/EU. What IF the GCC Arabs are asked to abandon China?? What could they do in response?? That is clear as daylight to me as an outcome.
In short, the GCC Arab Countries are making a Faustian Bargain for short term gains/peace. Israel is a veritable dagger of a colonial enterprise in that region and that dagger will ease or poke to the chest as needed.

If Hamas with its suicide bombing and security threats had not been there, then the two-state solution would have been achieved.

And if not, then the whole world would have been unanimously supporting Palestine under secular al-Fatah today.

Hamas made non-religous secular Israelis weaker through its terrorism and made far-right Jews stronger.
These are secular Israelis who are against illegal settlements and for peace, just like secular Palestinians are for peace.
But the religious Jews and religious Muslims are the only problem and they are making lives miserable for all.

This public, albeit feeble, messaging is an indication that private messaging is being ignored by Israel. If Israel is not going to act on even this minor request, it can be interpreted that U.S. has a much weaker hand in this war than many seem to think. Blinken is going there today for some face-to-face talks.

Correct analysis. US has a lot of leverage: Israel is hugely reliant on USA for military aid (constant Iron Dome resupplies, hundreds of mk-84 bombs, maybe Patriot resupplies if the conflict escalates, $40 billion of financial aid etc).

Re-read my post and understand it. I called out the hypocrisy of the Western media. I know what kind of noise Western media makes when Muslims come up with such Fatwa. And I also know how silent they stay when the Jews do it.

PS: If you don't understand the difference between fighting military age personnel undergoing military training vs killing women and children in hospitals - you need to contemplate about your moral compass.
