Someone I know was sponsoring a Palestinian girl’s university education in the UK. A few days ago he got a call from her saying that one of her best friends from school, a boy, had been killed in the Israeli bombing. She asked for help to get her family out of Gaza. He advised her to tell them to leave through the Rafah border. A couple of days later he heard that 15 of her family members had been killed at the Rafah border from Israeli bombing. The girl ended up in hospital suffering from shock.
