I really don't understand - that if they are going to all that bother to attack + occupy a base - why they don't immediately destroy all the tanks, armoured vehicles ? Kind of a flaw in their approach ?

In all of the video's they are leaving all the expensive assets alone !?!? Strikes me as strange..

They don't have or carry large amounts of explosives to do something like that. There wasn't even a single one of them with an RPG. Impossible to destroy 70 tons of armor with a couple of AKs.
