Gaza-Israel Conflict | October 2023

Has the Egyptian Air Force received Meteor missiles for their Rafale fighter jets?

. . . .
No and it will never happen , we don't even have amraam.

it's forbiden for egypt to recieve long range air to air missiles.

Why did they buy the Rafale then? Should of gone for J10c with PL15 missile.

Maybe Qatar can supply some of the meteors to Egypt?

Water back on in southern Gaza - US official
White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan tells CNN that Israeli officials have informed him that water pipes in southern Gaza have been turned back on.

Speaking on CNN's State of the Union, Sullivan says Israeli officials informed him of the development in the last hour.

The Israeli military declared a "complete siege" of Gaza six days ago, with food and water running out across the territory.

Who can confirm if this is true?

US warns escalation could lead to to Iranian involvement
The US has warned that escalation of the war between Israel and Hamas could lead to the prospect of Iran getting directly involved in the conflict.

Speaking on the BBC's US partner CBS News, White House national security advisor Jake Sullivan warned of the possibility of a new front being created on Israel's northern border with Lebanon.

"We can't rule out that Iran would choose to get directly engaged some way. We have to prepare for every possible contingency," he said.

There have been exchanges of fire across the border between the Iranian-backed militia group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon and Israeli forces, with Palestinian militant groups in the area involved too.

So Israelis have turned water back on in Southern sector to entice Palestinians to move to south so that Israeli Army can capture North Gaza with relative ease?

This sounds like a plan...

Only months ago did they form a Strategic relationship. If China brokers this conflict, it might gain clout and be seen as an active superpower in active political struggle by the developing world. The hardest problem for Chinese investment (where ROI could be high) is getting governments in developing countries to become competent (not corrupt) and running their countries in a predictable and functional manner. China could be moving into the domain of what the Soviet Union did in supporting leftists governments around the world. Not to threaten other countries but to restructure, such as in Africa, while the French leave and the Russians can’t maintain access. Under that cover, Chinese advisors could be deployed to support them.

Xi’s 24 Character Strategy is not Deng’s 24 Character strategy
Xi Jinping summed up his robust foreign policy to delegates with one vivid refrain: “dare to fight”

This is a good read. The US deployment is mostly psychological warfare. They aren't gonna fight for Israel. I don't see it. China and Ukraine is their priority.

Partly correct. I think the US Carrier Groups are likely to bomb Lebanon and Syria if rockets are launched from those countries. But that will not have much affect and even Col. D. McGregor is saying that--that Carrier Groups are not going to make enough impact in scenarios like these.
No, China and Ukraine are not the priority. Ukraine is already toast: Didn't we see Kirby plainly saying something like 'we have just given $200 million to Ukraine and sometime we have to stop'. China is not stupid enough to launch an attack on Taiwan in the foreseeable future--they are happy to see Americans drain even more of their resources on America's Masters in Israel.
