Israeli soldiers takeover Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza
Dr Ghassan Abu Sitta, a surgeon treating patients in Gaza, has said there is news that Israeli soldiers have entered the Al-Shifa Hospital.
“Israel declares victory over a hospital. Settler necropolitics at its most monstrous,” says surgeon in a post on his X account.
Al-Quds Hospital out of service, no longer operational: Palestine Red Crescent
The Palestine Red Crescent has said Gaza’s Al-Quds Hospital is out of service and no long operational due to the depletion of available fuel and power outage.
“PRCS holds the international community and signatories of the Fourth Geneva Convention accountable for the complete breakdown of the health system and the resulting dire humanitarian conditions,” it said in a post on X.
Israel strike destroys cardiac ward of Al-Shifa hospital: health official
An Israeli air strike destroyed the cardiac ward of Gaza’s biggest Al-Shifa hospital, as fighting around the facility raged, according to a health official.
“The occupier (Israel) completely destroyed the cardiac department of Al-Shifa hospital… The two-storey building has been completely destroyed in an air strike,” Youssef Abu Rish, deputy health minister in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip told
AFP.
Witnesses confirmed a strike on the hospital, which
AFP was unable to independently verify.
The Israeli military did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
