Not really. Those troops in the north would be there or at their base anyway. Only so many troops can be sent into Gaza. Nothing is being diverted from the south to the north. The bombing of Gaza would not be more intense if HA were quiet. This is so far just face saving stuff from Hezbollah to say they "joined the resistance". We will see, but I suspect they're getting spanked.

The mere fact that Hezbollah is putting pressure on Israel contains Israel because of the massive international pressure Israel already has. Don't you think that with all the backlash and protests/anger Israel is achieving around the globe, Hezbollah would just be getting in their heads now? Of course. Hezbollah's main function is just to be a nuisance to Israel - and they are doing it.

Who are you joking? We saw what happened on the battlefield on day 1. The whole Gaza Envelope corps fell to Hamas. Israel is winning at bombing and murdering children.

This actually helps Israel. The "we're being attacked from all fronts" plays into Israel's hands because they can react more harshly and the general public see an "all front" attack as an existential threat to Israel. If they were just concentrating on Gaza and Israel wasn't fighting "for their lives" they would be facing the pressure to ceasefire like they have in all previous battles with Gaza. The perception of being under attack for Israel is perfect.

The Israelis are having to rely on American advice... That should tell you something.

A lot more than advice. They are fighting the whole war for them. Bombing the concentration camp of Gaza. Israelis continue to carpet bomb Gaza despite Hamas releasing prisoners of war out of humanitarian reasons. Israel wants to massacre children. Israel has no military plan and is asking the US to plan it all for them.
