Game-Changing Chinese Missile To Pak Could Dent Navy's BrahMos Advantage

Pakistan Navy is not trying to nor ever can match the indian mighty navy rather is finally getting the attention it needed for years and as its responsibilities have now grown but in a few years it will be a very potent navy to mess with which will be able to hold its on ground simply.
I could not have thanked this post enough. PN build up has been long over due and finallly iyt is getting its just share of budget and on a buying spree.

one of the best decisions by Pakistani Navy, and erodes India's 15 year effort in indigenizing and integrating Brahmos. What a master stroke, and akin to induction of Harpoon with surface and sub-surface fleet. Bravo Zulu PN.

Sorry, but it's too little too late.

The first PN ships will start arriving only by 2021, and by then IN will have Brahmos-killers even on corvettes, let alone frigates and destroyers. The new SRSAM program from IN will see deployment of both domestic and imported SAMs that can destroy supersonic sea skimmers.

You need hypersonic capability now, which again will be countered by 2025. New SAMs are in development that will be able to stop sea skimming missiles doing speeds of mach 18+.

The incremental upgrades PN is seeing is of no threat to the IN. You are going to have to follow a big bang approach to deal with the threat IN poses. IN is preparing to deal with China after all, and is keeping pace with China's development speed. So you will have to at least match the Indian development speed, but considering the smaller numbers, Pakistan will have to exceed India's development capability in order to pose a significant challenge to the IN.

This missile has this speed in terminal phase only. We can shoot it down very easily with Barak 8. More over it can attack in steep dive or take "S" maneuvers in terminal phase to avoid defense system. By the time this system comes to Pakistan, India will have Brahmos with 800 km range and with 4.5 Mach speed with vertical dive. We shall be able to shoot down any Chinese/Pakistani warship from Indian coast without using even our warship. India too has one such missile in making .

The beauty of this missile is that it is supersonic in its whole flight.

PN already have 400+km range AShM deployed on ships which will currently put IN in difficult situation as it already mitigate advantage which they had at the time of induction of Brahmos.

How you know it will come with new ships in future?? Did PN purchases C-602s with new ships?? Which helped create Harba AShM who's true capabilities are kept secret.

The range isn't the problem. And it's a different story if you actually have the kind of ISR assets that can detect and engage the IN from 400Km away.

But it's either the speed and/or stealth of the missile that matters. Right now you have neither. The IN can hard kill everything in your inventory, including all the Ra'ads, Baburs, Harpoons and C-802s.
