Wow that was harsh. No evil should be committed in the name of Islam, because Islam is not like secularism, communism, capitalism or any other man made system. It is a complete way of life that is provided by ALLAH to the believers with its own politico-socio-economic system, and it is the duty of every Muslim to try to implement this in not only their personal lives but also the society they live in.

We are an Islamic Republic, but usury is the way of life here and our president asks the ulema to find a way so that it can become permissible in Islam. He wants, what is described in the Surah Al-Baqra as the War against ALLAH and His Prophet(SAW), to be made permissible. And we are a republic at least, Gambia is a dictatorship and Yahya is not really the Islamic hero you are looking for.

And don't rush into judging and blaming others brother, how can I be a Muslim if Maaz ALLAH my heart is filled with hatred of Islam, so are you accusing me of being a Kafir? You do know how harsh a punishment for such an accusation is right?

Back in 1948 most of the non-western world just came out of colonialism and became "independent" officially and this included the 99.9 % of the muslim world as well. Muslim countries were & most still are ruled by intellectually colonized classes of people who believed in either socialism/communism or capitalism and were/are fiercely secular. None of the regimes represented the values & ethos of their people. Most of the masses were also uneducated and ignorant of the world at large with only a intellectually colonized elite class constituting a insignificant minority having access to colonial education & resources. KSA was the only muslim country that opposed and the only non-muslim country was USSR (who may have done it bcs of opposition to democracy & capitalism). So what ever happened in 1948 doesn't count. Bcs of this abomination called UDHR westerners dare talk abt legalizing homosexuality & adultery in the muslim world and lecture muslims & adversary non-muslims states on "human rights". . DO u know that in the 90s OIC adopted Cairo Declaration of Human Rights in Islam (CDHRI)? It took 4 decades for the stupid politicians of the muslim world to realize the evil ramifications of UDHR. CRHDI is severely criticized by the west as barbaric & backward. Btw UDHR is not legally binding but is one of the major tools of western hegemony after WWII.
