G-3 Rifle Vs IAF Mystere Fighter Jet

g3 was in service in 1971 and its 2018 we use same g3 ? matter to be worry

My uncle's unit being a reserve unit, had Lee Enfields. They borrowed some G-3's from the neighbouring regular unit.

Incidentally, I talked to the officer who had something to do with the decision to take the G-3. He sad that the chinese offered the AK-47 for free. Pakistan still went for the G-3.

To end this regular mud-slinging, we all know that it is possible to bring down an aircraft with small arms fire.

It is open knowledge now, that in Kargil, the first IAF Mig 27, which went down, was due to engine flame out on ingesting smoke from rockets fired on intruder positions.(Second Mig 21 was shot down by a MANPAD).

But were you to check Pakistan army website, you will find, two kills being awarded to two Pakistani soldiers(even receiving Medals of honor for it.)

So yes, Pakistani armed forces is perfectly capable of awarding fictitious kills, howsoever ridiculous they might seem.
Jet engines don't FLAME OUT on INGESTING SMOKE. Both planes were shot down by MANPADS. I am an eye witness.

@ Windjammer :

What's with the keyboard diarrhea ;-) ?
Reality bites, truth is bitter but then a faker would see it otherwise.
I pointed out that there is no record anywhere in your post , your article and even in the PAF records of where this ' mystery Mystere ' crashed, who the pilot was and where his body is. Please feel free to share these details.
Then the committee will consider your request.
Otherwise...well, you know .
For any one with an iota of sense would have noticed the location and date at the heading of OP but then you prefer to remember what i posted a decade earlier.
Again let me ask you, what details of other IAF aircraft or pilots have been released by PAF that you are constipated on this particular incident.....according to PAF, all the details are available in log CALT-14.
Before you waste more bandwidth with your futile digressing tactics....CALT is Crashed Aircraft Location Teams.

@Telescopic Sight
Here you go, ask your one man committee to look into these two names, F/L Anukul and F/L Das, the Two names and two Mysteres remain shall we say....a mystery.

Much better quality of post. Actual names included.

Except there is no source for this. Where can we find these names ? Surely after 3 days and nights of introspection, you did not suddenly dream of these names.

So without attribution, my question is still not convincngly answered.

Committee is not convinced :-). Please update committee's log CALT1 ( Committee American Leopold Telescope) 1 !

Man, you jumped the gun. I was waiting to hear from the OP.

Now the interesting part that you and I need to hear from OP is how 2 pilots got killed inside ONE Mystere !

And yes, what is HIS source ?

Ok, let's wait.

It is good to know that the pilots sacrifice did not go in vain, India won the war.

RIP to the brave pilot.

Results of each battle is well known and denied only by a few fools.

But this thread is focused on just one incident, and does not look at the overall results.

Any praise by a person hiding behind a fake ID is actually an insult.

Actually there's no introspection needed since i am well aware of the incident and the circumstances surrounding it however it was a chance for you to redeem your self but obviously as always you are in oblivion.
So without attribution, my question is still not convincngly answered.
I am not here to convince you neither my intentions are to spread false news however if you had any knowledge on the subject, you wouldn't be lost in your own living room.

If the committee has to be spoon fed with all the information then what purpose does it serves.....what happened to the famous line......committee's own findings.....BTW, CALT has since been enhanced to (Carries A Licence to Terminate Trolls)

Sorry this is an extremely poor post quality.
Please answer just 1 fundamental question : how did 2 pilots get killed in 1 mystere !!
Otherwise your post is nothing but PAF feel-good propoganda. Only fit for noobs.

Some people even with two brains will prove useless specially if they are just in a habit of being nit picks....however anyone without comprehension issues would have noticed that somewhere along the way, i did point out a second Mystere wreckage was also found which i doubt was a flown remote controlled. :D
As for source, like the man said, Don't focus on the pointing finger or you will remain oblivious to all the spectrum in the distant universe''.

Thanks !!!

That's exactly what I was hoping you would reply. Give a faker enough rope to play with, and he will hang himself ;-).

At work after a long weekend, will elaborate later.

P.S. : outstanding English , boss!!!

So now you have started addressing your self....good John Doe, Telescope, duffer or whatever you are called now , at least you have found yourself.
Do come back for more as i will gladly dish it out to you.....Mr whiter than whites ....
Oh don't take long digging up some five year old post.

Water tank? I have two questions:
Where was PAF by then?
And was every other target already had destroyed, they were only left with shooting on water tanks?

Wow, for both sides.

In 1971 war, my father was stationed in Peshawar. Our home was opposite (across Khyber Road) PAF hangar.
I am witness to the first Indian air raid on PAF base Peshawar.
IMO Indian pilots were not trained very well, rather than going for formation of 4 F-86's on ground armed and were preparing for takeoff, they started strafing on hangar and hence provided the opportunity to PAF pilots to takeoff and later shot them down.
If those Indian who are now making funny comments, had seen the ability of their pilots, most probably they had committed suicide at that time.
