This always happen, trade winds shift all the time. Some towns aren't economically viable, the people should have known since the beginning.
Route 66 is one American example.

My perception was the CPEC would use existing Pakistani Infrastructure with addition infrastructure being built along side and in between any gaps to expedite transportation.

You see when Army does it, even though its not in their mandate to do so. The credit goes to Govt (because thats how it works) Because current govt has failed miserably to address the situation and concerns. When Army requests of civil admin to carry out its part of JOB in dealing with IDP. the whole issue is then termed as local politics, while the common man suffers.

But when men-in-uniform take charge of building the schools, camps and rehabilitation, the credit will go to govt for not doing its job( when it was supposed to) but because, that's all they are here for. To take others credit in their name.

So people like you still don't change even after the puppet master (IK) has failed miserably in everything (including the "rigging" claims). So now, you are not DENYING the progress, you are simply shifting it to the military and creating a gov't vs. a military drama. New IK plan like many before been shown on this forum and on the media , out of which, everything failed? To an extent that Ik doesn't even have a face saving anymore. But he'll lie about something tonight and you'll believe it.
Now allow me to shed some light, in ANY abnormal or difficult situation, the Civilian government, in pretty much ANY country has the right to bring in the military in whole or parts of it (like the Rangers or the National Guards, etc). Remember, the Army chief salutes the democratically elected President or the PM. Not the other way around (even thought Pakistanis are used to the other way around, its changed since Mushy the Cushy, and some here will still believe otherwise but please remain in denial).

So for any country's growth, the credit will always go to the Civilian government who made these difficult projects happen. If the country didn't have the investment, no one, including the military could build a bathroom, let alone building a highway. So the investments were brought in by the Civilian government, and now, the rods and all can be built. You want to give credit to the one who's building the road or someone who brought the investments and did the hard work to establish trust and BECAUSE of which, the roads could be built. Otherwise, there won't be money for the roads and no road of course in here.
If the military guys were this sharp about business and economy, they've ruled Pakistan for like 50+ years, they could've built the trade corridor, or the metro system or establish research centers, built new airports and brought in $ 60 billion worth of investments. This is a fact said with respect, not a bad comment. I've personally met many of your Corp. Commanders, some of which are generals, and majority of them in individual discussions mentioned that they don't want to be in the Civilian government as it destroys the honor of the military internally and globally, as well as doesn't help growing economy, etc. The Civilians do it and it is working believe it or not

Whole nation is giving credit for everything to Army.May it be Flood rescue, roads n bridge construction etc while Govt was sleeping and one Noora was enjoying in KSA and Mr Showbaz in London, COAS was in Waziristan at Eid and his field commanders visiting their men on duty in field and then immediately reacting to flood rescue when Govt was still in deep slumber and kept on saying there are no threats of floods anywhere. dear sir, if you cannot digest that the civil government is incharge then our exchange of comments is useless... no force can tell them what to do... only the people can by their rallies or in the long term by their votes...

i agree kashmir issue should've been high lighted but considering our policies which have caused the degradation of our country's repute over the years, you must understand that the people representing us don't have the kind of diplomatic freedom our neighbor enjoys... after 2011 we have seen a sharp rise in these allegations... so my humble request sir, try to see the situation in depth, we were caught un aware but again we have to do with the little reputation we have, all thanks to some geniuses who thought that they should be in charge instead...

MCH was completed a long time ago. It travelled on it a few years ago. This is a separate project.
