Future of Pakistan Bangladesh relations

Yes, we are racially and genetically different people. Please don't consider my post as hate post. Its a fact that Bangladeshi nationalism is based on everything anti-Pakistan. If somebody wants to show off how patriotic Bangladeshi he is he should say give some anti-Pakistani statements in public. We are genetically closer to Bengalis of India (West Bengal), Assam, Bihar and Oddisha and to some extent with South Indians. I feel no shame to say our ancestors were all Hindus and Buddhists. Then Muslims came to Bengal and changed the demography but they couldn't change our culture and language. In reality we are religiously Muslims but culturally Hindus. This may hurt some Bangladeshis who may suffer the identity crisis but fact is we are culturally way more Hindu centric than Pakistanis. Its not possible to have any relation with Pakistan because our history, our culture, our ideology are such that these will always prevent us to have bilateral relation.
your relations with india are not good either.
i feel bilateral relations have nothing to do with culture and history .These are based mostly on security /defence and economic interests.
Being a Pakistani despite the hate most of the Bangladeshis fed and express against Pakistan whether fair or unfair that is another debate, we Pakistanis hardly carry any such widspread hate against BD.So in the real world if Hassina and Co ponder upon realities and do away with Pakistan phobia then Pak-BD bilateral relations can begin and prosper strengthening your defence mechanism.

They might have mistaken you as an Indian because Indians tend to understand a bit or Urdu.

No, some Pakistanis thought I was one of them till I corrected them.
Stop this nonsense that Pakistanis look different to the rest of S Asians.

A lot of Turks and Arabs start talking to me in their language and I have to tell them that I'm a Pakistani much to their amazement. Your point is?

Most Pakistanis have no unique appearance compared to other S Asians.

THIS!!!!!!................we HAVE FAR more in common with Eastern Iranians/Persians in terms of genetics, culture, heritage and beliefs than we do with bangladesh or india yet if we can't form a nation with them than how can we with bangladesh?

You ruin our good reputation. Sri Lankans, Nepalis, Bengalis, Bhutanis etc all have good opinion about Pakistani people because we are good human beings and humble. While Indians tend to be obnoxious and arrogant and that's why no one in south asia like them apart from Afghanis because India need their land to use against us. Also because thanks to Gilgit, afghanistan doesn't have border with Bharat. Otherwise who knows, India can't get along with any nation in region.

dilemma of subcontinent :we consider indians inferior physically and indians consider Bangladeshis physically inferior. the moral of the story is that majority of us have similar appearance with some exception in parts of Pakistan.
anyway this is useless debate we should focus on the main topic

That's what you would like to think. Reality however is very different. 40% of Pakistanis who live in the northern and Western regions of Pakistan are identical to Persians/ Iranians & Afghans bar language and culture. 60% of Pakistanis who are Punjabi have a minor similarity to indian Punjabis who make no more than 2.5% of india's population, the only South Asian group outside of Pakistan to have any sort of commonality with us. Are you seriously trying to tell me that someone from South or central india or a bangladeshi looks like a Pathan or Persian Baloch from North West Pakistan????????........yeah right.

If anything, Pakistanis are different to South Asians. We don't have anything in common with them. That is a perpetuated myth.

indians and bengalis are VERY similar in every respect bar religion. I think That's what you really mean. Pakistanis are completely separate and different. We are outsiders to South Asia. That is the reality.

If one has travelled all over Pakistan many times and has lived in London all their life you would know the above to be true.

Better to spend time to fix Pakistan's poor gdp/capita growth, half that of BD now, rather than this appearance
nonsense. At the end of the day only a good economy will deliver a better future for Pakistan.

To some extent I agree with you. But some of the bengalis and ALL Indians are very bad people as far as Pakistan is concerned. The other South Asian nations I agree are VERY likeable. indians are the most inhumane, inherently evil, disgusting and grotesque creatures on planet earth.

Bengalis are not bad people, we don't have any conflict with Bangladesh neither want one.

As if bangladesh is an economic superpower or a relevant nation on the world stage........lol.....lol...........

No worries with what you said in your post. CPEC & other related programs are fixing all that you said. There is a reason why the Chinese have invested nearly $60 billion in Pakistan with $100s more billions earmarked for further investment in the coming years and decades...... :azn:.......once the full integration of Pakistan's economy with that of China occurs we will become a developed nation much to the anguish and dismay of our enemies...............:azn:

Regardless, they are irrelevant and of no concern of ours. They are about as relevant to Pakistan as the Eskimos in the North Pole.

Wish Pakistan well but better to focus on getting out of 3rd world status first before dreaming of developed status. Remember Pakistan is still a 3rd world country after 70 years of independence.

And bangladesh is a developed nation????????.......:disagree:......you sound like an indian hypocrite.

CPEC will all but ensure that Pakistan becomes a developed nation. It will however take at least 30 years. It's not a matter of if but when!

May sound far fetched but then again, Pakistan becoming a nuclear weapons state seemed far more impossible. But the Pakistani spirit achieved it. Just as then so is now......:azn:

BD has been independent for 46 years, compared to 70 for Pakistan.

Pakistan used to be more developed than India and Bangladesh(which used to be like beggars back then) in late 1990's to early 2000's.

They really were not. Can check UN statistics regarding life expectancy, infant mortality, population growth, literacy and HDI back calculated to 1980s etc.

Pretty much everyone was in the same basket economically (like does 100 bucks more matter if you only got 200 bucks in hand etc), and if anything India was ahead of Pakistan in several social parameters back then (BD took some time to get things started after 71 and surpass too etc)

So you now admit that BD had a handicap in that it started in 1971 compared to 1947?

So In 24 years bangladesh will become a developed nation????????..................:disagree:

Middle income. So much better than either
Pakistan or India achieved with 70 years
of independence.

Look neither Pakistan or India will ever be able
to develop as fast as a unitary state like BD and
so comparison is futile.

Pakistan needs to use it's relationship with China for maximum gain. Just CPEC by itself wont even transform Pakistan into a middle-income country.
You need to focus on education, law and order and sound economic policies in order to grow at rates of 8-9% a year, to be able to make progress towards becoming a middle-income country in the next generation. Developed status is too far away to dream of right now.
