Not sure if China can revive SAARC

I'm sure Indians would love the USA to be a part of SAARC, however none of their territory exists in South Asia.

A large part of China on the other hand is geographically a part of South Asia, i.e. the Tibetan plateau.

A large part of China is in South East Asia too. That makes you eligible for ASEAN membership? Similarly, the major economic portions of Russia (say Russia is in the west) is in Europe that doesn't make them eligible for EU membership.

China in most part is South East Asia. Because it's population centers are in SE. Tibet is sparsely populated.

And ASEAN is a grouping based on countries with similar economies and similar issues. Same goes or SAARC.

All South Asian countries should leave SAARC and join China's South Asian OBOR. India will be alone and talking to itself.

Everyone is welcome to leave. Nobody is holding them hostage.
