France workers sacked for fasting!!!

.
Now the question is who exactly supports non secular statehood?

Sorry to burst your bubble but you know the military aid you guys get every year? Yeah people like me pay for that aid. Your welcome. :D Protecting your existence.

Something tells me that with your grammatical skills, the only job you do for me is ask "Would you like fries with that?"

For that, I thank you.

 That one actually made laugh though I will give you that. Actually no but I have done that when I was younger so been helping you guys ever since I have been working. Don't worry though that is what allies are for. Your very welcome. :enjoy: As for my grammar I barely correct myself on forums but since you are so concerned by all means you can do it for me.

let me get this correct:
1) the instructor was worried that fasting may endanger children saftey: its a summer camp which will have a lot of physical activity for he children which means the instructors must be very watchful while engaging the children in the physical activities...since they are fasting, they would get tired quickly and hence may not be keen on watching the children......this reason is completely valid and logical.....
2) the four guys were Paid fully for the remainder of their contract (even if they were fired hey got their full payment) so what is their to sue about....
looks like those guys just want to turn this into religeous thing just to play racism/religious card and get more cash...

.
were not some members here supporting some dictate of some some country Requesting non muslims to not eat in public in ramzan in order to respect Muslim respect. hypocrisy at its best. :coffee:

.
Sorry.... Did not understand.. I actually agreed with you that people who commit non secular acts in India (like Bal Thakrey) can not then criticise Pakistan for not being secular...

Most Pakistanis.. Considering that non secular statehodd of Pakistan is being upheld by a democratic govt of Pakistan and hence reflects the national majority sentiment

Yeah I suppose you are right about that one although Pakistan has never been looked upon as a shining example of a secular establishment in any part of the world. Someone brought up the GCC Arab states for them I think it is quite obvious that as long as they have all that oil nobody will question their policies. As for the secular statehood's that champion their ideals why do they feel they must backtrack now? It would make more sense for them to lead by example or just outright admitting that they are not really as secular as they would want people to believe.

That made no sense. Also the said country you are referring to is an authoritarian dictatorship who nobody bothers to question for reasons everyone on this forum knows of.

Sacked fasting workers re-hired for French summer camp | euronews, world news

End of the story.

FWIW Uyghurs face the same in Xinjiang, if you are a government employee you can't fast in China, no one outraged at that?

You can fast and not tell anybody.... the xinjiang story is fake....they didnt sack anybody who fasted....its insane.

You were claiming "We(Pakistanis) don't", how can you forget Gojra so soon.

how many were killed in gojra and how many in orissa?how many suffered in orissa? 50,000?

My dear hindu islamophobe fasting is something tht doesnt effect others.... u dont have to build a mosque for it...if a muslim fasts it doesnt effect the non muslims...... also this comes under religious freedom tht france is denying people....... also its france tht claims to be a tolerant developed country...... but sacking people because they are fasting? r u seriously tht screwed up?

We dont kill or burn christians or massacre sikhs.....we dont put people in jail for eating meat or kill them for it........ its u guys.

if a muslim fasts it doesnt effect the non muslims... ok ...

if one eats in front of fasting muslims; policemen beat em up??!! ... Some hypocrisy..!! :hitwall: :hitwall:
Guess the concept of religious freedom is meant only for France and the likes... :shout:

And wait... Anyone here remember the thread related to china not allowing ramadan fasting..!! :cheesy: :china:
No questions asked by them dear Pakistanis there...

.
Irrelavant .. Understand the context before flying off your handle.. Pakistan and Saudi which themselves are not secular countries, cant demand secular rights for muslims in other countries.. You cant demand something that you yourself dont provide...

Secular countries? than why bleat like a sheep when turbans are banned? why not bleat when eating meat can get u a jail turn of 8years and a hefty fine? more like hypocrisy.

Is sarcasm your way of scoring brownie points from teenagers? hell of a life you have your excellency!

Indians are being protective of France, because we face similar tirade from you guys.

Oh we know EXACTLY why you guys jump on the bandwagon to defend every anti-Muslim action anywhere in the world.

I mean all it takes is one or two isolated incidents and suddenly everything else which are shining examples of secularism don't count. France has around 2000 Mosques, if thats not a proof enough of secularism then I don't know what is.

It is NOT about isolated incidents. If this was something by a private entity, it would be one thing but, for an official govt. body to act this way is worthy of notice. Along with the French weasel law that bans headscarves but allowed cross-pendants, the debate on the burqa, the Swiss ban on minarets, etc. this is all part of a larger pattern.

The Communist council did something wrong, Muslims protested, corrective measures taken and secularism upheld. Thats how things work.

That's all we are saying: that what the city did was wrong. If you agree with us, then why the harangue?

You did not explain it. Just skirted it. and ironically the answer given was "their country their rules".

As many have said, a serial rapist does not have the moral ground to criticize an eve-teaser. Get the drift ?

People who dont believe in secularism themselves dont have a ground to complain regarding such 'perceived' denial to them.

You have a tendency to deliberately misread what is actually written as an excuse to launch into your pet rants.

Not worth replying to.

.
It's a good thing they are rehired-
Case closed-

.
If you can't see why having someone who hasn't eaten for days watch children is a safety issue, I don't know what to tell you.

It helps to debate with facts instead of hyperbole. A fast lasts from sunrise to sunset; it does NOT extend "for days".

Lots of people around the world do their normal jobs while fasting. Including construction workers.

Nonsense extrapolation.. There is a difference in an existing issue and and underlying principle. Absence of secularism in Pakistan and KSA is not an issue, but a Conscious decision and setup decided for the country, and the same is fully supported by most members on this forum. Religious freedom in Pakistan and KSA for non muslims comes with a million riders and that situation is the one accepted and championed by most Pakistanis (and almost all defence.pk pakistani members). After that demanding unconditional religious freedom for Muslims in non Muslim countries kind of reeks of hypocrisy to me.

Your off-topic lecture notwithstanding, this is not a debate about the virtues of secularism. I have already explained why no one complains about Vatican City or KSA, but I know you guys will ignore it since it will take the steam off your off-topic debate.

Yet another long, off-topic lecture.

Already addressed.
