I don't know why people are looking toward France for JF-17 avionics while they are not willing to sale military equipment due to India factor.

People are totally ignoring the fact that other countries are willing to sale equipment to Pakistan other than China like SA, Turkey, Russia, Italy, UK etc. Why we are looking to the closed door when there are several open doors?

Those who suggested route to purchase Rafale in small trenches with JF17 avionics deal forget its not gonna happen due to sale option to India but that route can be taken with EFT or even if necessary Russia with Su-35 or Mig-35 (Customize for PAF).

The French option is perhaps mostly given by fan boys not by PAF decision makers they have kept their options open. Where needed even they replaced Chinese gadgets with better Western eq.

The PAF officials have shown interest in many sorts of equipment from different Western countries same shall materialize in near futre in shape of JF17 block-III.

The current cockpit of JF17 is better than the M-345 cockpit by selex. I think what you are referring to usage of a Large Area Display versus three SMFDs, a wish that is already on the cards for JF17.

That would remove Selex, and bring BAE systems to the forefront. Selex portion would be AESA and EW, which they already don't have permission to export in the configuration proven on Typhoon.

2) Is there a possibility that the countries operating EFT would opt for Selex?

3) EFT cockpit also integrates some systems developed by Israeli Defence Industries so are these also going to be replaced by others in case Pakistan is interested?

1) Selex AESA and Integrated EW is planned for Trench 3 Typhoon.

2) EFT consortium has an open competition, and business will be shared among the suppliers.

3) Pakistan is not bothered by Israeli made sub-assemblies. There are many of them already in service in Pakistan.

Why is the range of radar detection getting farther and farther---why are nations manufacturing BVR missiles costing 100's of thousands of dollars---

A Meteor BVR missile which will be the best in the world around 2018 costs about 1.5 million euros.If somebody thinks that for that price and 15 years of development we'll just see a "Western publicity stunt",he's really not the man to put trust in when it comes to Defence matters.

Pakistanis did not give a sh-it about 17 dead french engineers----who were there in karachi building the most advanced submarines in asia.

Pakistan deceived france by cancelling the deal for the purchase of airbus aircraft and went for the boeing in HOPE for direct flights to the U S from pakistan----.

After supplying the boeings---the U S said---fck off no direct flights---.

As for the avionics---if you could find my older posts---I had wrote about it---the france would not give paf the avionics---.

Paf deceived itself one more time---it failed tactically one more time---.

Now---after getting the agosta---why would pakistan go to germany for subs---when france was ready to sell them newer subs---.


We already had a proven and tested system---everything french that we procured---lasted a very long time and still we went shopping for the german subs---full of problems as the greeks found out later.

See---pakistan has been more deceitful to the french. For the french to put restrictions---the pressure has to be monumental---they even put sanctions on the israelis years ago---that is why the israeli stole the mirage blue prints---they put sanctions on the gun boats that they built for israel as well.

You can fool people for some time but not all the time. People do realise sooner or later. It is great to hold promises and be honest.

Raven ES-05 was developed from Vixen 1000E so you could say it is the next generation up from Vixen. As for how it compares to Elta EL/M 2052, I am not sure. There is very generic info about both, but I would say they are likely in the same class. The major issue is that there is no certainty that China did or did not reverse engineer the EL/M 2052, but we know that Selex is the source for Raven ES-05. If the right package with the right $$$ backing it was put forth, I am sure based on Pakistani/Italian/Selex/Finmeccanica/FIAR history, that PAF would be approved to get the radar.

Not sure about the PAF, but getting a Finmeccanica-equipped JF-17 Block-III could be a good idea for export purposes, especially for countries that prefer Western equipment, such as Morocco, Jordan and Qatar.

JHMCS is an Elbit System development. Adopted by USAF and then transferred to customers worldwide. JHMCS is available on PAF newer and MLUed F-16s.
