BRUSSELS (Reuters) - France, Italy, the Netherlands and Denmark support a European-led naval mission to ensure safe shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, three senior EU diplomats said on Tuesday after Britain proposed the idea following Iran’s seizure of a tanker.

Britain proposed the idea to senior EU diplomats at a meeting in Brussels, saying it would not involve the European Union, NATO or the United States directly, the diplomats said.

Spain, Sweden, Poland and Germany also showed interest. The mission to protect vital Middle East oil shipping lanes could be run by a joint Franco-British command, one of the envoys said.

Off topic: a great idea of creating a joint task force of Turkey and Pakistan Navy. The Turkish and Pakistani frigates' joint arrangements to Africa, latino or Pacific ports, sailing together even once a year to show the flag, will allow us to deepen our friendship.

I believe it has everything to do with it. In the 70s, Iran had to import wheat from Europe and US to feed its population. The price went from 60 to 240 dollars. That’s A 300% increase. When we upped the price of oil so we could afford their commodities, we became their enemy. They could up the price, but we could not. They feel superior to us. It’s always been like this. Black Africans, brown Asians, we are treated as subhumans. They looted all the riches of Africa and enslaved the blacks. Massacred the native Americans. They destroyed Libya, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan. Did they ever do something to a white country? As long as it doesn’t happen to whites, they don’t care. Compare terror attacks that happen in Britain, or France, and how quick they are to show support, versus terror attacks in Turkey. A nato member but not white enough. Turkey and Norway are NATO allies, but Norway shelters and gives asylum to PKK terrorists. It’s not long a go that NATO held an excersise with a fictional scenario were Erdogan and Turkey were the enemies. Even Eastern Europeans are treated as second rank Europeans in Norway.

Well, in fact Eastern Europeans are lighter, then Western ones (second only to Scandinavia) so it is not about skin colour. It is about long Anglo-Saxon dominance in Europe. After 1991 they got not only Western Europe but half of Eastern one, too.
