France in Talks with Malaysia for Rafales

Be calm my friend. Last I checked Japan was still one of the world best manufacturers of heavy equipment and given they produce many of their military systems in-house I can be very assured that they are in no way declining on the manufacturing front. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries might like to have a talk with anyone that says otherwise. Also, South Korea has one of the world's best ship building capabilities, so no one should doubt them either.

You do realize that I was just messing with @Nihonjin1051 ? o_O

Quite! I wouldn't think you are dumb enough to make such claims with any other intent than to make a joke. Given your past exchanges, seeing your words as serious was very hard. Though I can not say the same for several others who haunt this and similar threads

My thoughts exactly. Maybe in the future, if our budget can support it and China allows for export, a squadron of mature J20 and two squadrons of mature J31. That will set us free for couple of decades. I know that's a lot of wishful thinking, however, that what will give us the edge we require, coupled with J17's and F16 B52.

Most likely, the next new platform the PAF inducts will not be very soon.. and when it will be it will be a low observable platform.

A headache? This forum provides relief for such things thanks to its comedic effect and rampant stupidity! In general I care little for the words of others, but I always find time to make corrections for those that make false claims. Don't read that last sentence as being directed at you as you and I have had little direct communications, rather it's a generality that applies to make others I have had contact with.

They make best home appliances now too including lcd's and oled's.
And samsung is one of the largest chip makers in the world now.

Japan has lost a lot of its mojo:coffee:

Precisely. Northeast Asia is too integrated, economically, that a war in the region would plunge our economies. China is the 2nd largest economy, Japan is the 3rd largest economy and the United States is the largest economy in the world. A war would lead to a global economic collapse of epic proportion.

This is the reason why consensus is to support greater economic integration, and forgo actions that will worsen relations.

No matter how strand relation between China, Korea and Japan, the business leaders in all 3 nations will ask their government lower the tension and prevent any misunderstand to escalate into a broader conflict which will hurt the economy in the region and the world.

Japan still number 1 auto exporter in this world, if Japan can lower the price on their electronic item, they can compete with any nation.

No they cannot.
The products are simply inferior (vs competitors) in categories i mentioned.

I never doubted their auto industry in the first place.:coffee:

I meant the older apg-77 and lack of irst to be precise.
The best right now in electronics is f-35 as an attack aircraft and growlers obviously as a dedicated escort jammers.

The APG-77 is still one of the best radars out there that may be only beaten by the F-35's APG-81. However, the range and sensor ability of the APG-77 may still end up outperforming the APG-81. The Lack of IRST may be there but not without good reason... at the time when the Raptor was finalized.. the performance of IRST sensors(at the time) was still not impressive to the USAF.
FYI.. The F-22 continues to have space for a IRST to be installed later if needed at any of the MLDs.

Dont forget China's rising giants. Besides, I'd support Huawei, Lenovo, Xiaomi over Samsung any day.

;)

Its simply impossible for apg-77 made in 2000 or before to compete with today's stuff.
The t/r modules will be much lower in wattage and not to mention the silicon back then was 1000's of times slower than whats available today. The mmic's simply will be way way less owerful than today.

I can say that maybe russians will still fall short as they are still using 60-70 nm shitty elbrus processors but all the newer westen designs like rbe2aa,,,captor aesa(when it comes out) and of course apg-81 will outperform it maybe not in range(it being1600 t/r) but in tech specifications none the less.

As for irst yes it has space for that.
