Neither does Hinduism or Vedas teach you to do human sacrifice. How did you assert that human sacrifice or widow burning have been sanctioned by Hindu scriptures such as Vedas/Upanishads? When people quote hadiths for support of slavery,rape,terrorism,etc ,don't you say these hadiths are unreliable or that Quran is the final authority? Then why the double standards for Hinduism?

Give me one authentic text from a Śruti text of Hinduism that sanctions human sacrifice, else admit that you were wrong.

Then why was human sacrafice and sati common in medieval India? Also Hadith that are quoted are always mostly mis-understood or not taken into context with the situtation, location, or time. Hadith are ranked by their reliability.

Sacrificing animals happen in temples which are in regions where pagan rituals once existed. These rituals existed side-by-side with Hinduism (just as in TN, where Hindu Gods such as Murugan, Thirumal were worshiped along side pagan Goddess Kotravai). Buffaloe sacrifice happens in Nepal, where Kotravai is worshiped as Kali.

Haven't I already explained in my previous post about how pagan practices gets accommodated in Hindu temples and Tamils had some pagan deities? Similarly that pagan practice is from Nepal where they worship the Tamil goddess Kotravai as Kali. Go, read my previous comment again.

I am not calling them backward. Our friend Maravan here called animal sacrifice as backward at first and I keep using that word to get under his skin.
