At least four soldiers were killed and several others injured when a convoy of security forces came under attack in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Kurram Agency on Tuesday, local media reported.

ARY News said that the convoy was targeted by a roadside planted bomb when it was passing by Warmagai area of Kurram Agency, one of the seven semi-autonomous tribal regions along Pakistan- Afghanistan border.

The injured troops were shifted to a nearby hospital.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

This was the second attack on security forces in Pakistan on Tuesday.

Earlier in the morning, two paramilitary troopers were injured when a bomb went off near a security check post in the country's southern port city of Karachi.

These attacks will never cease until political process takes hold. Army can only provide a degree of security, that too for a limited time. It is the job of civilian government to man up and establish its influence quickly during that time. Establish police, infrastructure, and create jobs. In short fill the void left by insurgents and establish governance. Unless these cowards get out of Islamabad and Lahore, Army will keep chasing ghosts and our soldiers will keep losing precious lives.

One needs to analyse what drives them to take up weapons. The naxal movement in India for example has been in the making for centuries given fuel by injustices towards the tribals and also set precedence with millions of deaths under Mao, stalin etc.

A rough guesstimate of terrorist numbers in pakistan and Afghanistan would be a 100 thousand..ttp the violent group would be numbering around 10 to 20 thousand including all their factions. Now what is it that drives these folks and how do they find so many recruits crazy enough to carry out deadly attacks.

The naxal can draw inspiration from the millions that Mao and Stalin killed. The Islamic terrorists I guess are ready to kill people in their millions if given the leeway and would have done so if the US hadn't Interfered.

This guy is an open supporter of terrorism inside Pakistan. You will never see him reporting death of terrorists inside Pakistan. You won't see him either on Indian casualties in occupied Kashmir or Maoists region. Only a BS chutya forum like Defence.pk can allow such type of rats from Bharat to support terrorists openly.
