  • Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert believes that his successor Benjamin Netanyahu’s political career has come to an end. He made these remarks while exclusively speaking with the Turkish state-owned website, TRT World, on Thursday.

While commenting on Netanyahu’s failure in forming a government after two inconclusive elections, Olmert said he would be finished.
  • Better Relations with Palestine
Former Israeli PM believes that the next government, which according to him, will be minus-Netanyahu, will be ‘less provocative’ and more severe towards normalizing ties with Palestine.

He said that if President Benny Gantz, a fierce rival of Nethanyahu, forms the government after third elections, he will make headways in bettering Israel’s regional position.

The policy of Israel will not be provocative, and there will perhaps be more meaningful contacts with the Palestinians.

  • About Peace Settlement
Olmert criticized Trump-administration ‘hastily’ moves to recognize Jerusalem and Golan Heights as Israeli territories, saying that it was a mistake that only added fuel to the fire.

He admitted that the new Israeli government will have to work harder for a peace settlement with Palestine as things had worsened due to these measures.

    An Independent Palestinian State
Ehud believed that ِIsrael will continue to face hostilities from countries like Iran, Pakistan, and Malaysia until or unless there is a peace settlement in the region.

“We don’t want to be living in one state with a majority of Palestinians. The only way to avoid it is to separate. The only way to separate is to allow the Palestinians to create their independent state,” Olmert said.

    About Pakistan-Israel Ties
He continued to support the peace talks with Palestine, saying that it was the only solution to have better ties with Pakistan and Iran.

“Pakistan is a country with great potential,” Olmert said. “We already have some informal contact. We used to have in the past – I can say from a certain degree of knowledge. And I think that we should continue.”

Since Israel has no direct conflict with Pakistan, so why shouldn’t the two countries have good relations? He questioned.

Answering a question related to non-recognition of Israel from several Muslim countries, he said, a successful peace deal with Palestine will help to mend ties with all Muslim states.

    About Ehud Olmert
Ehud is a former Israeli premier and Jerusalem mayor. He remained the head of state from 2006 to 2009. During his short but eventful premiership, he led military campaigns against Hamas and Hezbollah, made progress negotiating with Palestine, and introduced pro-active foreign diplomacy, which helped the country make strides on the global front. He stepped down facing corruption charges but was acquitted by the court.

He is right; there is nothing to lose. Win win situation.

“Pakistan is a country with great potential,” Olmert said.
These Isrealis know their enemy well. Pakistan has great potential truly. In all fields. Pakistan could be heaven on earth.
However, it will never be as the evil eye shall always hover above our country until the final days arrive. Isreal and Pakistan are on a collision course. No way to avoid it. Destiny is set in stone.

so lets see... it was pakistan that started bhund pangaa with isreal when they blindly supported all Arab-Isreali war without thinking of consequences the nation would suffer in the long run. What does Pakistan get in return from Arab? A BOOT UP THEIR @$$!
The only way Pakistan can stand up on its feet is if it for ONCE start thinking about their interest and not ummah chumma interest! Ohhh this XYZ country slapped my brother country and I shall break all ties and add it to my long list of befriends. few year later..... that XYZ country starts multi $billion trade with "brother country" and we just celebrate their their success while our country is begging for a small portion.

Better ties with Isreal means better opportunities like we can learn from their success how it is the most powerful country on the planet.

You have ideal ideas in a not so ideal world. Your ideas seem good on paper but time will prove what I mean. Isrealis look after their jewish "ummah" even more than us.They hunted jewish murderers all over the world. For jews isreal is sacred and their loyalties extend to isreal which ever country they may be in.So that ummah argument doesn't work here. We must keep saudi close to us. Build your clout in Saudi and see how the Ummah comes together. Saudi should be synonymous to Pakistani. There is plenty of time. Our leadership must have vision. I wonder if someone in the Government even thinks like this. But God will lead us to what is meant to be. Water always flows down the glacier.

What makes you believe KSA represent Islam?

The Arab countries are cowards and backstabbers, why would we ever try to emulate them? Anyway notice the flood of news about Israel and Pakistan relations in the last year, its because they (Israeli establishment) recognise that Pakistan and Iran are the biggest blocks to their fascist takeover of Palestine.

Untill there is an agreement that satisfies the Palestinian people, Pakistan must be unwavering in its refusal to recognise Israel.
You are fighting a war for ungrateful backstabbers.
As you might have not met many Palestinians but they are the afghans of middle east.

Pakistan has lost much more than they gained in supporting Palestine.
Palestine, again and again, has shown softer side for India & has supported India over Pakistan heck not a single statement came from Palestine for Kashmir when they are the victim of the same thing.
If Pakistan shows flexibility to israel they can gain much more specially in US thanks to the Israeli lobby as they don't care if Pakistan and India fight to the death.

Majority of middle eastern countries are already building relations with Israel so why not Pakistan
What did Turkey get for recognising Israel for decades? Israel Supporting an independent kurdistan nation to destabilise the region including Turkey. Even tho turkey has one of the biggest economies in the middle east, with trade deals with Israel, Israel still chose to support terrorists and insurgents against Turkey. Its doesnt matter how friendly you are, Israels goal is weakening all Muslim states and Israel will always chose India over Pakistan due to a larger economy and similar ideology with hindutva.

Pakistan recognising Israel will give Pakistan only short term benefits but nothing in the long term. They will forget like they did with Turkey and continue to work with your enemies to undermine you.

In times of need you have to even make the donkey your king. We need good relations with KSA to increase our hold there. We cannot oppose them and hope to gain there.

No they are not, just because they arent kissing our feet doesnt make them the Afghans of the middle east

Every country has its own interests, and for Palestine who are fighting for their own survival they need investment and support so it makes sense why they would remain neutral wrt Kashmir and open to Indians in diplomacy. Only when Palestenians give up and accept Israel as their overlords, then I will agree with you.

Exactly my point if they can stay neutral Why Pakistan shouldn't follow the same thing.
Pakistan has paid too much price of islamic cause.
Became the Terrorist hub, lost billions , thousands upon thousands Pakistani Citizen died at what cost ?.
Did any of the so called Ummah brothers came and fought for Pakistan ?.
If China Didnt invested in CEPC in Pakistan, none of the current investment and loans which are keeping Pakistani economy float would have came.
Turkey and China actually did support Pakistan through economy , military, and on international level.

Pakistan needs to learn and choose the battle they fight.
Kashmir is not just some land issue Pakistan has which can be ignored.
Its the core issue on which pakistan has fought battles its future and its ideology depends on it.
Even Quaid azam called it Pakistan jugular vein.
Why If they cant support thats whats the point.

Palestinians are not our problem. Kashmir and the Kashmiris are our concern. How much do the Arabs/Palestinians care about Pakistanis, Kashmiris and Pakistan? To hell with them all. PAKISTAN FIRST!.........:pakistan:

You are equating the arab world with Palestine. The Arabs backstabbed the Palestinian cause, so why would we want to copy them? Palestinians are living under siege like conditions, put yourself in their situation would you rather have relations with both Pakistan and India or both of them?

You also seem to forget Quiad e azam refused to recognise Israel, it is an illegitimate state crafted out of stolen land; Pakistan cannot compromise on its beliefs, and I would be very dissapointed the day we put money, or material wealth above it.

Palestinians are not our problem. Kashmir and the Kashmiris are our concern. How much do the Arabs/Palestinians care about Pakistanis, Kashmiris and Pakistan? To hell with them all. PAKISTAN FIRST!.........

No Palestinians are not our problem, they are a problem for the entire Muslim world. If we used this same logic in the past then Afghanistan would be communist, and Bosnians would be genocided.

Just because they are unable to give unconditional support to us, doesnt make them traitors or unworthy of freedom

We too are fighting for our own survival against an enemy that is more than 7× bigger than us and has the full backing of the West and Russia. So We need to put our interests first. That means having friendly relations and diplomatic ties with Israel. How much have the Palestinians and Arabs sacrificed for Pakistan and Kashmir?

So are Kashmiris not a problem for the entire Muslim world too?

PS The ungrateful wretched af-ghands would have been better off under communism. The af-ghands have caused us more woes than even the indians have since 1979.

Did you guys know that a joint party of 3 parties has 1/12 of the Knesset? This means that Arabs will be represented much more than before.
