Forex reserves reach record $38.15bn

This is a result of making good relations with India. Congrats.
India needs Bangladesh more than BD needs India. Without giving you the mode of communication through us your NE would have burned with rebellion all through the years.

But, why are you taking credit for something that you have no contribution to? Ask your Baniya country to import at least $10 billion worth of goods from us and claim that sort of thing.

8 months is just a rule of thumb. 6 months is also adequate. BD has good credit worthiness and can easily get support as required, without exploitative terms.
India for eg has nearly 540 b usd reserves, 30 b usd up in a week, but are they directly impacting a average Indians life ? No.
Reserves equalling 6 months' worth of import bills is considered the bare minimum a country should hold as per economists.
However, you also consider other parameters. Record number of Bangladeshi expat workera have returned home. Exports have dipped. The recent up tick of remittance is due to recent govt incentives to expats to avoid money laundering and is therefore temporary.
We have to import heaps of covid related equipment and materials in the coming days.
Considering all the above, the reserves look barely enough.

Question is ... do you bros want to buy 'special' nuclear tech? I also recall the Bengal Sultanate being a little bigger than what Bangladesh is, how about making some territorial claims too? ;)
Will they really like to take our Bengal ?
So we lose mamta and her voters ?
Well if a serious proposal comes....

. .
If all parties are willing, let Pakistan broker it. It'll go down in history as the 'great victory.'
Well India gives it blessings. No returns allowed.
Of course all bongs in other parts of India have to be part of the deal, no free will this time....

Bangladesh should donate a few Billion USD to Pakistan on account of Muslim brotherhood
I heard the Saudis are demanding their money back from them

Why SA should demand its $3 billion back when it has been borrowed only six months before? However, SA can expect no return and more borrowing in the future unless Pakistan initiates economic progress. It should buid more industries and produce finished and semi-finished goods in the country.

A serious proposal means a purely secular state encompassing Bangladesh, west Bengal, as well as the entire NE of India by default. People in the region are not secular-minded. However, all countries of the world has a majority religion and a specific language. This region, too, cannot overcome religion. Language and history are secondary factors here. We cannot blame the pre-1947 Muslims of Bengal for demanding a separate country through the Pakistan Movement.

Slogans and good intentions can go only so far.
A state like west Bengal with a educated population is at the bottom of india's economic ladder because of populist policies. For the 1st 50 years the commies were voted in , now mamta is incharge.
Mamta is a leader who kicked a company like tata motors out of Bengal for a few votes. They had to dismantle a half built plant and shift it to Gujarat. Tata is known the world over for its long term policies, never abandoning employees even at the cost of losses. So many jobs lost to votes.
In contrast people in BD have pulled up their socks and are attracting investment from all over the world. Land is not everything. A motivated, can do population is a asset

It made me real surprised when Mamata cancelled the TATA plant. She talked about wasting so many acres of land. I wonder, if she had/has the slightest idea that an acre of land produces only a few tons of paddy, whereas a steel mill can produce hundred times of that value. She has not read even the first page on the national economic buildup.

Hindus of the eastern region had been quite educated. They were at the core of British India's bureaucracy, but the west Bengal leader Mamata talks and does very cheap. Yet, she is the CM. I personally do not think BD bureaucrats or politicians any better than Mamata and her bureaucrats, yet people here have built up a vast textile industry.

I will point out one thing here that historically Muslims have been good tailors. Tailoring has been the profession of Muslims, like many other professions were held by the Hindus. So, it could be that we had a head start because of this trait.

The remittance comes from Gulf countries, you should read the article completly. India only give more trade deficit to Bangladesh
U didn't get what I am talking about! look at Pakistan. No good relation with India, no good economy. India was the reason Bangladesh came into forum.
If Bangladesh had not good relation with India, it would never be in stable condition which could impact its economy very badly. Bangladesh is making money because of friendly nature of India.

The reserve will scare currency trader to sell Indian currency for USD so it will indeed improve the strength of Indian Rupee. As you have huge trade deficit due to huge import, of course the reserve will affect positively the average Indian with more stable and strong Rupee.

So yes, it does give impact to average Indians.
