foreign NGOs were behind Indian anti nuclear protests in 2011 says Singh

golden rule...Dont feed the trolls...I am guilty of it :P

me too mate:hitwall:

About the Issue -

1)both reactors of KKNP should be operationalised as soon as possible

2)The villagers must be provided with alternate livelihoods .ie if the discharge of hot water to the sea affects their livelihood

3)The local people should me made aware of atleast basics of nuclear energy.

4)The funding of NGOs should be stopped. The government should also watch the activities of shady human rights organisations

.......bad poetry aside ...we get it that you are an Indian ...I am an Indian too :pop:........what was your point again ?

If you are an Indian,You would have never said this.

That would mean banning all Churches and many many Mosques

Kalam suggests 10-point safety, development programme for Koodankulam nuke plant

Chennai, Nov.7 (ANI): Former president A.P.J.Abdul Kalam has submitted a 39-page report to the Central Government and the Government of Tamil Nadu that recommends ten steps for ensuring the safety and development of the Koodankulam nuclear plant and its surrounding areas.
Kalam's report suggests the building of four-lane highways, a desalination plant, construction of houses, schools, hospitals and cold storages to ensure that the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Project (KNPP) in Tamil Nadu's Tirunelveli District is totally safe.
According to Kalam, his ten-point Koodankulam PURA (Providing Urban Amenities in Rural Areas) programme should be implemented by 2015.
It involves an outlay of around Rs.200 crore and is aimed at benefiting Koodankulam and its 60 odd neighbouring villages.
The 39-page report has been authored by Kalam and his advisor V Ponraj.
The report also asks New Delhi to link Koodankulam and other villages in Tirunelveli district, around 650 km from here, with Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and Madurai.
It also says that industries that can provide direct employment to around 10,000 people should be located within a 30-60 km radius of Koodankulam and youth should be given subsidised loans for starting their own business ventures.
The building of 'green houses', apartments for people living along the shores of Koodankulam and neighbouring areas is also recommended.
Kalam, a former nuclear and missile scientist, has also suggested the setting up a one million litres per day desalination plant and also bringing water from Pechiparai dam for drinking as well as agricultural use.
The report also recommends the building of a 500-bed hospital in the Koodankulam area, setting up tele-medicine hospitals in all villages and two mobile hospitals with facilities to carry out diagnostic tests.
The setting up of five state board and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) stream schools with hostel facilities, provision of broadband connections and disaster management centre and provision of higher education with proper training to selected youth and placing them in a permanent job are the other suggestions.
According to the report, the government should also start other schemes in consultation with the local populace.
The government should take steps to allay fears of the people about the Koodankulam nuclear power plant by providing them proper information.
The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) is building two 1,000 MW nuclear power reactors with Russian technology and equipment in Koodankulam.
The first unit is expected to go on stream in December. The project is estimated to cost around Rs.13,160 crore.
According to Kalam's report, Tirunelveli district is expected to attract an investment of around Rs.20,000 crore following the setting up of the 4,000 MW nuclear power plant which would give the state nearly 50 percentof the power produced. (ANI)

If you are an Indian,You would have never said this.

And if you and your friends weren't religious bigots you wouldn't have said "RSS propaganda at its best"

BTW ...my statement says "That would mean banning all Churches and many many Mosques", you also have to post what "that would mean" indicates.

..... interaction with you have clearly shown me the fear that exists in you against the Hindu majority. This in-spite of you mouthing platitudes of religious tolerance in India, Kerala and talking about never being persecuted.

My every word appeared a threat to you and your friends and it whipped you into a more coarse replies fueled by imagined threats and concocted narratives.

I am well aware of the conditions of RSS workers in Kerala.....if they are not killed by the communist, they are targeted by the christians and Muslims. They have evolved into who they are due to the environment they live in. Christians and Muslim community control all commerce in Kerala and they are completely communal and work together to keep the hindu out. Be it politics or commerce.

Add to that fake currency for the muslims and Foreign funds for the christians ...you have the mild mannered decent Hindu community completely under seige. RSS in kerala is the desperate result of this reality.

I have problems with communalists not the general Hindu population.

My mother married my father with out conversion.Of course some times conversion does happens but with out any force. These things are completely blown out of proportion.

.
I donot know the details, but it does seem to follow from reports that foreign NGO's did use and channel funds through the local Churches there for the protests.

This needs to be investigated strictly. And Were that to be the case, the strictest action should be taken against the said people and Church.

That being said, the area/community near which the nuclear power plant is being established, should be given incentives, relocated if they wish so, and taught the basics of nuclear energy along with nuclear safety. Drills should be carried out duly from time to time. We cannot harm our own people in our march to development.

In every nation - Community dictats weaken with economic development, as individualism creeps in with lesser economic dependence on family/relatives.

Till that happens, Muslims(I assume you refer to Muslims here) will continue to go by what the wider community thinks - which is always conservative.
The question is - has the Govt given enough schools/colleges in Muslim majority areas to further this development of the community or have they been left out - even unintentionally - in our growth over the last 2 decades.

Of course individual freedom increases with increasing opportunity...but it does not not necessarily follow that the community opens up. e.g. are South African apartheid or Amish community in the US or the chinese in malaysia who is 25% of the population but control 70% of the economy.

Religious conservatism is not directly linked to economic growth as you can see in Saudia Arabia or the christian evangelism in kerala that are funded from foreign nations that is polarizing the society. e.g. K P Yohanan of the Believers Church who was caught with 900 crore rupees of unaccounted funds.
