What's new

Foreign Ministers/Secretaries rushing to Pakistan following the fall of Kabul from different countries rushing to Pakistan

All of em are trying hard to persuade Pakistan to host atleast half a million Afghans more but Pakistan has already told em that we already have enough refugees.
At least Biden will call IK now?....Objective achieved.

On serious note, they will throw money, promise to pull Pakistan out of FATF, and promise of investments.....Let's see how much dignity our leaders have....In the past they have been up for sale for such offers......

Once these refugees enter, terrorism will increase and once it reaches to a critical state...same foreign secretaries would be calling to de-nuke Pakistan.
There can be 2 scenarios.

1) Pakistan says no as it has been and stands firm as we can't accept more refugees.

2) Pakistan milks them as much as it can and allows 200k to 300k more refugees.

1 - Not possible. Many hungry wolves in all top positions in Pakistan looking to cash out on the opportunity.
2- Not possible again. Pakistan has myopic leaders. We have our own versions of phull sapport sir in all top positions of govt and army. They just looking for personal favors, will settle for a smallish home in the west with 10-20 mil in bank account.

Seems as if UK only ever wants to engage with Pakistan when it comes to issues relating to security or military. Anything beyond that they are not concerned or interested.
Britian wants more from its ties with india than Pakistan.

ON Thursday, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Austrian counterpart Alexander Schallenberg exchanged views on the latest developments in Afghanistan as well as on bilateral relations.

In the telephonic conversation, the Austrian Foreign Minister thanked Pakistan for its support in facilitating the transit of Austrian nationals and others from Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi underlined the importance of peaceful and stable Afghanistan and highlighted the salience of safety and security of Afghans as well as an inclusive political settlement.

Pakistan should use the opportunity to get removed from the FATF list - agree to offer temporary facilities to allow Afghans to leave and go to Europe if they want - but not host any more refugees and use this "genorous" behaviour to pump for increased free trade arragements, etc.

And Pakistan must start to learn to play its cards correctly and force the UK to offer it long lived things on the economic front for its help. Not aid or military weapons but institutional relationships for economic growth ...

The problem is that India has gotten ahead because it has used each opportunity to build long lived economic relationships and not short term military concerns which governed Pakistan originally. Thankfully PTI understand this.

ISLAMABAD, Sep 1 (APP): Foreign Minister of The Netherlands Sigrid Kaag is arriving in Islamabad Wednesday to hold talks with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on the evolving situation of Afghanistan and the bilateral matters.

“The visit of Foreign Minister Kaag will add to the current momentum of high-level exchanges and help further strengthen bilateral cooperation in diverse fields,” the Foreign Office said in a statement.

In the backdrop of recent developments in Afghanistan, Pakistan and The Netherlands have been in close contact. The two Foreign Ministers had telephonic conversation on 21 August 2021. Prime Minister Imran Khan and Prime Minister Mark Rutte also exchanged views on the evolving situation in Afghanistan on 18 August 2021.

Pakistan has extended full facilitation to The Netherlands in its efforts for evacuation of diplomatic and other personnel from Afghanistan.

Pakistan and The Netherlands enjoy close and cordial relations. The Netherlands is one of the largest trading partners of Pakistan in the European Union. A number of Dutch companies have been investing in Pakistan.

What do they want? Can they jist no f*** off and concentrate on their own countries

Pak should ask UK to take them out of the travel red list, hand over Nawaz Sharif and support
on FATF before they give anything in return.

In the past 20 years they haven't visited Pakistan once. Today they are lining up one after another. Don't fool yourselves. This is meant to encourage Pakistan to take as many Afghan refugees into Pakistan as possible. The Europeans aren't ready to take in Afghans apart from their interpreters. Even the interpreters often aren't allowed to live with their families. The European right-wing supporters are already up in arms against the arrival of Afghans. Just log onto any Western news site and visit the comments sections. Go to social media sites. It is filled with opposition.
Agree they not trustworthy

Neither are we interested in Britain. They are free to discuss things, but the answers won't change.
