For those who make fun at China's jet engine

we need to tolerate another 15 years, maybe 20 years. we shall steadily expand our influence and power. our target is to restore the Great Han empire, and live in harmonious with all the minority groups.

So the F119 engine is also not available for export, but does this mean it is inferior?

Being able to export those engines of the propeller aircrafts doesn't mean you are good at making those high-end jet engines.

EJ-200 euro engine is still a very superior engine compare to any Chinese counterpart.

Chinese engine has make headway but lets not get carry away. British Roll Royce civilian engine and is still miles ahead of Chinese as we have not even a single civilian turbofan available for our domestic aircraft.

Time will tell. For advance notice,the 2014 annual report of "中航动力" will reveal the working percentage for the WS-12 and WS-13 production line.
it just a matter of three or five years before out main engine achieving success, be patient. We are doomed to be a great nation and dynasty in the history, we Chinese hard working and benevolent people. we didn't I intrude anyone even in our peak time in the history, look how African and Latin American suffered from those so called civilized white Babarians hundreds years ago. No matter how Advanced whites is , they are still Barbarians.I always look down on whites, cause they are Babarics. To prove that J-10 is superior to Rafale or Typhoon or F-16, China must take part in operation against ISIS and bomb them from their aicrafts. then only we will admit!!:D

They are better at the design with more cumulative experience.

However, when it comes to the forgery of the main components, Britain needs the help from USA, whilst China is totally independent.

If Britain can forge their own components, then they shouldn't request the US to do the favor, since the US company also needs to make profit, and it is only going to rise the cost of the components.

Also, EJ-200 is a medium thrust turbofan jet engine, so it is not appropriate to compare it with WS-10, since they belong to the different class, medium class vs heavy class.

We are only debating the technical perspectives here, so no need to drag it into a race card debate.

Nobody is doubting Chinese Ability to Produce anything, it was the reliability that people are curious about, and it wasn't just about China, people doubt reliability of the big 3 (CFM, P&W and Rolls Royce) all the time.

No one, I repeat, NO ONE, can build a foolproof Engine, My brother used to tell me this (He is an Engine Specialist on R&R Trent engine for Boeing) The only way to make an engine reliable is with somebody dies in it.

You can simulate any condition on the ground, wind tunnel, but up in the air in 30,000 ft, it is something of another league. You can build whatever engine you want, but the only way to test them for their reliability is when you put it in an aircraft and start making runs at it. Effectively all Commercial Airline Pilot is also a Test Pilot, and there are no way you can know if there are any problem with your engine until it happened when it was running and flying in the skies.

Rudder Hardover Problem claim 157 Lives (United Airlines Flight 585, USAir Flight 427)

Engine Failure (Flame Out due to excessive water ingestion) Claim 72 Lives (Southern Airways Flight 242)

I for one actually advocating the big 3 to hand over data to new Aircraft and Engine design company so people won't have to die from previous mistake, but i know this is not gonna happen even as i type it. And if this happened to big 3 company, this will certainly happen to Chinese Designer.

If you still think Chinese Engine can be failure proof and will be reliable once they roll off their assembly line, then either you are too optimistic or you may need to rethink again, thanks to the previous accident, I don't foresee Chinese Engine will lose as much as they used to do that in the West before (Hence saving about 1000 lives or so mentioned above) But you would only be fooling yourselves if you think Chinese Engine, or any Engine, (British, or American) are reliable, without considerable people dying in it.

I don't want to get into who started it or something like that, but you can't deny that shots are flying from both sides. I seen more than one time people making ridicules claims, I'm sure you seen it too. I'm not just talking that Rising moron.

Sino-Indian ties(on the forum) have improved very much & it is only becuz of some trolls from both sides that there is unnecessary trolling btw us & yes i have seen that Rising fellow's threads & OP should not take things on this forum to srsly

It is a bad idea to mess with China.

That idea is laughbale, we have no enemity towards french.

As far as British (british trolls) are concerned they can take a look at the fact that list of only five nations which have ability to develop ICBMs on their own, doesnt include UK. They have to depend on Trident II.

you never know how many Chinese engineers and pilot died for jet engine development.
