For Pakistan, time to try India as a friend (resurrection)

To the majority of the indian population, there is neither a pakistan phobia nor a phillia. We dont really care. The mind set is, just leave us alone without sending the LeT et al. I had earlier published the online link to all the text books of major school boards in india, at http://www.defence.pk/forums/current-events-social-issues/41526-school-textbooks.html.

You can see for yourself how little our kids are taught anything, leave alone hate, about Pakistan.

Is this reciprocated in Pakistan?

so by your point, its Indians holding hate as a disease in hearts, transferring from generation to generation !! jeeezzzzz..... beyond cure !!

Good!!!
For Pakistanis' allowing resolution of Kashmir dispute according to the UN resolutions OR according to the wills of Kashmiris is the basic test of a change in Indian Mindset since 46-47...We are Glad to know that their is No Change and we are right to treat India as an Enemy!!

Take it as you may....

We are looking out for our interest as you are for yours...

India and Pakistan have not built up their military might, their economy and sacrificed thousands of lives over Kashmir only to give away what they currently have in their control now do they?
WTF do you think your nukes are for?...Arent they to protect your "sovereignty" aka if India tries to muscle Kashmir out of Pakistan?

To be frank....One does not make compromises from a position of strength....Pakistan wouldnt either...It Just happens to be that Pakistan remains an underdog in the situation and hence plays the sympathy card as opposed to a scrap...

I dont see any resolution to the dispute unless it entails LOC = IB or maybe the Musharraf formula....

But no way is India going to give Kashmir independence...nor is Pakistan

I suppose the distrust is balanced on both sides

It's not necessary to become "friends", especially considering the historical distrust.

Rather, a relationship of mutual cooperation will work just as well.

China and Japan for instance, despite our past history, today have the largest bilateral economic relationship in all of Asia. And the chances of a shooting war breaking out between China and Japan, are almost zero.

Everyone is making a profit, no one has to worry about an ICBM landing on their heads. Win-win.

I agree with you for once...

Economy is the key to peace....Countries dont fight war because of hatred...they do so to increase their benefits and wealth....

If the economic prosperity swoops through Pakistan, Kashmir and India, majority of the battle will be won right there and then...

It is my belief that economically prosperous people do not fight.....lets make that happen instead of hollow overtures of peace and harmony....friendship will follow

There is definitely a correlation. As the people of a nation become more wealthy, they will no longer wish to fight, because they have too much to lose.

The exception here being the USA of course. Since the USA is geographically immune to a direct invasion, because they are separated from the rest of the world by two massive oceans.

can solve terrorisum...

but how the religious gap between the two countries been filled , it's entirly imposible for a highly religious mental-fram of a pakistani to accept a indian hindu as a friend...

the best way is to keep widing the gap , untill both are so apart to see each other...that's it !!

What utter nonsense, fed by your frenzied media and those a$$holes like Zaid Hamid (the greatest strategist Pakistan has ever produced!) and his ilk. 7 Lakh Army in Kashmir? Wow!!! Are you nuts? Don't keep shooting from your hip without knowing the facts. Go read some authentic reports and facts before making such hare brained comments!

And just for your information, much of the Army is ranged against Pakistan on the borders and not fighting militants that you guys (ISI) are infiltrating into Kashmir. The police and para military forces are enough to take on your bearded bozos.

I am not try to boast anything but as title says that its time for " Pakistan " to try to be friends with India and not the vice versa. It is true that India is also having its share of creating the mistrust in the minds of Pakistan, however, if we think rationally we can see that the bigger share in creating this mistrust goes to Pakistan.

Now we can play this blame game forever and as everyone knows that now no one can change the status quo. We have tried all the options including war, proxy war and diplomatic. It bought us nothing but even more misery. For India, we were lucky enough to divert our attention towards other goals and I reckon its time for Pakistan to do the same.

Focus all the attention to mend the ties with all the countries and improve the economical and political situation. I think it is much better than fighting for something which is not as rosy as it looks.

.
No thanks. We are better off this way. Just dissolve the "non-state" agencies and we don't have to do anything and can live content with ones own selves.

The way you replied shows that i am right. Do you have any decent tone to reply the one.?:coffee:
This is the fact that indian Military is showing the power in Kashmir. If the military is keeping the law and order high than why there are militants fighting against them. And sorry to say ISI and pakistan army is not deploying these militants. Face the reality Man.
Relax:)
