FM meetings : Peace momentum stalls

It is diplomatically too low for a FM to talk to media about Krishana talking to Delhi on phone. What is wrong with that? About Kashmir if you keep having excuse on not acting on 26/11 I suggest we should not talk. It will yeid nothing. Border of Kashmir cannot be changed, digest that and then come for discussion.

.
what if he was talking on phone??? does it make any differnce????

Yes it does. It shows he (Krishna) was being instructed by fundamentalists in Delhi under pressure from fundamentalist groups in India and we all have seen the result of the meeting.

If speaking the truth is diplomatically low then be it.

There is no Border. Its still LoC and till the time its LoC no one needs any excuse to cross over from one part of Kashmir to other part of his country called Kashmir.'

As far as Mumbai raam kahani is concerned well there is no evidence against Hafiz Saeed neither could be proven in the court of law

India has billion mouth to feed and strategically it is positioned on the wrong side of Asia. Peace in the region benefits everyone execpt India. Therefore India should aid anti-state elements across south asia and keeps its own terriotery on the calm to keep FDI flowing and economy growing. They refuse to discuss any root causes of terrorism but make good stage performance. Bollywood must have been most sucessfull academia in India. Since the talks have failed, I assume soon we are going to have another mumbai style drama on Indian soil. And then the whole Indian political clout would point finger "we told you so..".

We need to stop begging for this so called peace, keep strict vigiliance on India, build economy, contain our own terrorist elements and build our clout in the world which allows us to purchase sophiscated defense equipment. We are an idealogical nation and out prosperity lies in progress and strong defense. Lesson are to be learnt from Taiwan, Israel, South Korea and Turkey.

Over time India and Pakistan will come to peace with each other however mistrust and thorns will remain forever. This is just the nature of regional politics between traditional power and idealogical states. It is just the norm which goes around the world..think taiwan and china, Israel and arab world, Japan and china. There is no limit to human potential if realized.
v have billions mouth that y v don't want peace in our neighborhood.....this is ur argument??? u kidding or what ???? GOP itself few days back declared some 18+ organization as terrorist outfits, which is fostered in ur country on thee name of religion. i don't need to tell u how many organization which are originated from Pakistan are declared as terror outfits by UN. and pls answer how many terror outfits from India declared by UN. we are fostering ur economy even we have enormous problems. but look at u wht u people are doing for the benefits of common pakistani giving open hand to americans to kill them. dusre ke barose rehne se yehi hota hai. try to be self sufficient.

Guys guys, let's not have this descend into another slanging match. This thread started off with many mature comments, let's try keping it on that road.

I think we're both in agreement that Qureshi's comments have shocked both sides. Now something must've p1ssed him off real bad to come out with those words. What I like about Qureshi, is his 'diplomatic' responses and extreme caution in what he says to the media in most part. For him to throw these accusations at India indicates to me that there must be some substance. The allegations are just too big.

If India did narrow the talks to terrorism, then it must've known that we were looking to broaden the scope beyond that. Given the focus on 26/11 and only 26/11, I think that led to exasperation from Qureshi.

Our argument that it's down to the courts to execute the judicial process holds water, but on the same token I can understand the Indian anger won't evaporate anytime soon.

Headley has spoken recently, and has said things that have alarmed South Block. There is extra pressure on Pak to take action.

This is such a difficult diplomatic tangle, that both sides have valid points, but lack of action on what both are putting on the table means we have deadlock.

The precarious nature of these talks mean that both should stay absolute silent in all cases. Now we'll have endless days of op-eds and opinion pages blaming the intransigence of either side and the fact that 'talks are pointless'

The BJP have said India should halt talks indefinitely and a similar voice will speak in Pakistan. Such a shame that we're back at square one, and the speed of it is what makes it shake our heads and sigh in disbelief.

Let's pray for this to get back on a positive track.

Well when he was tacking directions all time from Haafez Saeed he should not be complaining.

in a country of fundamentalists IF he is even being instructed by fundamentalist(imaginary) then it's no big deal.

Fundamentalist ??? LOL where you got that from? do you have secret sources? do you think Krishna was taking instructions from Bal thackrey or somebody from BJP?

our FM absolutely had some credible evidence against ISI and hafeej saeed that y he was speaking so loudly. pakistani FM did not say anything about whether evidence are enough or not. at the same time Krishna rejected any type of evidence regarding balouch, even Mr. quereshi took a jibe at krishna but could not talk about balouchistan and could have refute today that v had provided them about RAW involvement. i unable to understand if v talk so loudly about mumbai y cant pakistani government donot raise the issue of balouchistan so forcefully. who is stopping them????

Come on Jana, there's no truth in that and no point making baseless allegations.

He had a line to stick to, and perhaps was under instruction to widen his remit IF we gave certain assurances and made some kind of compromise. However, if he saw us give the same line about non-state actors and the judiciary in relation to 26/11, then India simply hardened their stance in frustration.

You have to see this from India's perspective, and that's what many fail to do - see arguments from either sides perspective.

atlast the patience ran out with the indian stall tactics.
We should not forget the Manmohan - Zardari episode in egypt where our president was insulted but then our indian friends did not feel the pinch.
Enjoy it now.

We must talk and improve relations,
but by selective talking on things which suit u is not the way

what makes u say that we made some kinda compromise??? this also falls under the category of making baseless allegations..

Until the culprits of 26/11 are bought to justice i dont think India or the Indian people can move on thats just my view.
