Flying Into Dhaka- First Impressions of Bangladesh

1k High Mountains ? 1K is a small hill , scratch that I take it back not even a hill . Lack of diversity in landscape compared to its neighbours makes Bangladesh less appealing to tourists . For Example My Chinese friends in Class have both visited Pakistan and Bangladesh . They loved Karakoram and Himalayas in Pakistan and the Cholistan deserts . When I asked them about Bangladesh they replied they are unlikely to return as there was nothing interesting there . They had some not so kind words for Dhaka and called it horrible

What about the world famous hilsa and walton company?!?!

What about the world famous hilsa and walton company?!?!

Not as good known as the Worlds famous rape capital,New Delhi.

Bro, It is actually 1k meter or 3300 feet not 1k feet. The highest mountain in Bangladesh is Saka Haphong, 3465 feet or 1052 meter.

Typo. Over 1thousand meters, over 3.5k feet.

My point was they are there.Untouched areas yet to be developed. I didn't over exaggerate and claim it to be gigantic like mount everest, like one of your Pak poster exaggeratedly claiming Pakistan as Paradise.

You mentioned about Dhaka? I'm not from there so can't say about it not been there much myself, except on return flight to UK. I've not had real first hand experiences in Dhaka. But it has improved, nice malls, eateries, project like Hatirjheel is found in europe great, once completed. It's not the much example for tourism, Dhaka. I don't think much will say it's the tourism hub of BD. You're "chinese" friends needed to go visit up Sylhet NorthEast BD see the 3biggest tea gardens in the world, the landscape is nice and nice places to see in regions different parts, CHT, coxs bazar, saint martins island, and worlds biggest mangrove forest the sundarbans. I bet your chinese friend just stuck in Dhaka and thought this is BD? No educated person judges by seeing one city/place of a nation. Dhaka is least place of tourism in BD. Coxs bazar, Sylhet, CHT, Sundarbans are the main destinations for tourism BD.

3500 feet is still a hill not a mountain . Its the same as Denmark or Netherlands calling 500 feet high grounds Mountains because its so flat .

Its not about being unexplored . Bangladesh compared to India or Pakistan is very flat and there are very less regions that are too remote to be accessible . In our case if you want to explore K2 or go to Nanga Parbat base camp it takes a full day because its 20K above sea level . Or if you want to take part in the Desert Car rallies or see the Remote Castles in the midst of desert . Being remote or unexplored cannot be an excuse for Bangladesh because it doesn't have extreme landscapes or weather .

Lack of Marketing or awareness can be a reason because not alot of people abroad know about Bangladesh .

I remember of a time when I visited Kaptai area first time before 1971. Aboard the bus from Chittagong, we met a handsome young man from Punjab. He was very impressed with the scenery of Kaptai. He told us that the Kaptai Dam surroundings look as beautiful as Muree in west Pakistan, except that the weather is much colder in the latter. We were supposed to return to Dhaka next day together. But, he chose to remain behind. He said, he wanted to visit the surrounding areas again. He liked the places very much.

Places like Kaptai, Rangamati and Banderban may not be as high as the mountains in Pakistan or India, nevertheless, these are beautiful places and attractions for the tourists with their lush green mountains. Come to visit and you will like the places.

What about the world famous hilsa and walton company?!?!
Nolakwali @Śakra, visit Bangladesh, see its lush green, water bodies, lakes, mighty rivers and tree covered mountains. Eat our genuine Hilsha, which is so different in taste from your Allahabad Hilsha. Go to Chittagong Hill Tracts to see our elephants. Go to Sunderbans to see Bengal tigers watching you to make a good feast out of you. So, stay inside the tourist boat.

Amount of human carts is astonishing, considering this is their capital and richest city; wonder how other regions in Bangladesh would be.

One good thing about human carts is that they don't pollute. But in this modern age they look archaic. Many Indian cities have abolished human-rickshaws in 90's.

But,but,but
BD has a plan to create a very powerful conventional military by 2030.Confused :rofl::rofl:
Why confused? @UKBengali is correct in his assessment that BD will not build its military at the expense of its economy. Both things will go parallel, but with more importance in economy. With a stronger economy BD can make up the lost time and build up the military in a better way. BD people are not willing to eat grass to build up the military. 2030 will be a great leap forward milestone for the military buildup, though.

The same vlogger visited Kerala & was quite impressed by it @SOUTHie... :D
I'm glad he didn't go to perumbavoor. These pole vaulters made it a shitty place. My place, used to smell like pineapple and jackfruit, now it smell like these koolies and their pan spit.:(

This guy visited Dhaka, Sylhet, Chittagong and been here for more then 1 month. Checkout his channel to get an idea about everday life in BD as a foreigner.
