LAHORE: CIA Police once again started using easy way of controlling crimes by killing criminals in ‘real encounters’ as on Monday five more alleged criminals, involved in the killing of a candidate of MPA and several others, were killed on Bedian Road during a raid.

CIA Model Town and Kahna conducted a raid at the Dera of Riaz on Bedian Road. On seeing police party, the alleged criminals opened fire. The police teams retaliated in which five aforementioned criminals were killed on the spot.

However, police remained unhurt ‘miraculously’. The indiscriminate firing created terror in the locality and people saved their lives by lying on ground. The inspector Rana Haseeb of CIA Police Kahna had radioed first call at 3:49am about the raid demanding backup as the criminals had started resisting. The second call was aired at 3:53am and third at 4:01am by different officials to show their presence at the spot. Police have also informed families of deceased accused persons.

Police have removed bodies to morgue for autopsy and started checking criminal record of killed accused persons. The killed proclaimed offenders (POs) were identified as Babar alias Babri, Irfan alias Taji, Mohsin alias Mohsni, Tanveer and Imran alias Mani. Two of their accomplices had managed to escape from the scene, the police claimed.

Punjab government had fixed Rs 1.5 million head-money on the arrest, alive or dead, of Irfan, Babar, Tanveer and Mohsin. Police claimed that the accused persons had also killed Asif Ashraf, the candidate for the slot of MPA in Township during the 2008 general elections. The killed proclaimed offenders had also allegedly set ablaze seven cars and six houses on refusal to pay extortion.

They were wanted to Lahore Police in 52 cases, including 11 murders, 8 kidnappings-cum-rape incidents. Cases have been traced out against them in Lahore, Kasur and Okara. South Cantt police had killed three alleged robbers during an encounter on Sunday. The incidents of street crimes and house robberies are on the rise in the provincial metropolis.

This is not the right way but I would appreciate what police is doing to keep check on criminal and saving it from becoming another karachi.

Court system being hacked up and parliamentarians being busy doing nothing , shouldnt hind in the way of controlling crime.

Good Job. These criminals need to be killed. They are a human garbage and our judiciary is a coward, who does not have the guts to hang these criminals.

Punjab police specially in Lahore, is famous for encounters. They all know how expensive and time consuming it is to take known criminals to courts. Because of these encounters, criminals dont dare to rob or kill people in lahore. Lahore is still a safe city despite a huge population, rising illiteracy and poverty rate. Punjab police keeps criminals in check

Sharifs perosnal gundas so called Punjab police active again....
