Oh, well we just did. Now do whatever Jack you can do, and do mind every favor will be reciprocated with compounded interest. Hope you got me. :p:
Only if Gangadesh survived because both Pakistan and China need some room to expand.

Bhai in ko Hadith ko quote karne ka maksad ye tha ke har shakhs apne hisaab se matlab nikalta hai, mujhe kisi female ke public office hold karne pe koi aitraaz nahi, but there is a difference between holding positions of public authority and being an Imaam.
Baki jo aap ko dil kahe wo maanein :)

Bhai, woh hadith jang e jamal k moqa pe kahi gai thi bibi ayesha r.a ko ghalat sabit kernay k liyay. Mukammal hadith yah hai:

Ab agar koi shakhs is hadith ko yah sabit kernay k liyay quote keray k is mein aurat ko namaz mein imamat se mana kiya gaya hai tou ham kiya kah saktay hain

There are many other hadeeth too Azlan. Don't be this dishonest. You are better than this.

And even in this hadeeth it shows what people who spent whole life with Prophet (SAWW) used to think about woman leadership and particularly a woman leading prayers.

Don't speak for Islam. Speak for your fellow Indians or whatever, but don't speak about our religion. It's very simple.
I agree with you...but please don't use abusive language...just call them Gangadeshis :enjoy:

I am not being dishonest, I know of no Sahih Hadith which states that women are prohibited from leading prayers .. Even in the article/fatwa posted by @Aquaman no such Hadith is quoted, only the opinions of scholars ..

Bibi Ayesha r.a has narrated over two thousand Ahadith from the Holy Prophet (pbuh), I would take her words/actions over what Abu Bakra Nufay ibn al-Harith said.

And Hazrat Ayesha (RZ) never said that a woman should lead prayers.

Rejecting all other hadeeth where men where categorically asked to lead prayers on the basis of one incident is clear case of dishonesty.

So you want to say they are attention seekers. Okay.
Not attention seekers, but they are more open and are more willing to change...

Everything will change everywhere but takes time...There were fatwas against television, internet, mobile phone, music etc in the islamic world... But on course of time they are all gone... Right to vote, licence to drive, saudi even changed the Mehram rules... The list is goes on...

Here in this same forum and this same thread many of people making racial slurs and saying don't teach Islam to them... They don't even know ' how much Islam is against racism'...

Bibi Ayesha r.a herself led an Army of men in the battle field .... didn't she ?

I am not rejecting those Ahadith, however, I see men leading women more as a cultural norm in medieval Arabia than a religious obligation ... And until and unless someone produces an evidence from the Holy text proving that women are forbidden to lead men, I have no reason to change my opinion .. It's not dishonesty, it's simple logic

There is a difference between cultural norms of a society and religious obligations/ rules.

Cultural norms change. Religious rules. not in our religion. All you mentioned are more or less cultural issues. Music is still considered haram by a great majority of scholars. Mehram rules are more or less same. Any lady less than 45 years of age needs mehram for umrah.

You bharatis need to learn more about Islam instead of wasting your time for innovating and changing it which would never happen. No matter what one mallu aunty wants to do.

Nothing more than a hindu drama just like the one they did in NY some years ago. No Muslim man will ever pray behind a woman. Period. I have my doubts that the men shown here in the pic are even Muslims or some paleed hindus.

Defying the age-old religious practice, a woman Imam for the first time in the history of India led Friday prayer in the southern state of Kerala, The Hindu reported.

34-year-old Jamida K, also known as ‘Jamida Teacher’ in her secluded village of Cherukode, Malappuram district, went against centuries of Sharia law but said she “did it knowing well the consequences it is going to have”.

The prayers were led for a mixed group of approximately 50 men and women at the central committee office of the Quran Sunnath Society which Jamida supports.

However, fundamentalists have threatened to eliminate Jamida. According to them, she “defiled the religion”.

The Quran Sunnath Society was a movement established by Chekannur Moulavi, a radical Muslim scholar, who was believed to be murdered after he mysteriously disappeared in 1993.

“We follow the [Holy] Quran. It addresses humankind as men and women, and does not discriminate between them. Both men and women have an equal role in religion,” asserted the woman prayer leader.

Muslim woman to lead Friday prayers in India

Speaking about leading Friday prayer, she said it was a male-dominated religious practice which needs to be challenged and she will continue to lead prayer alongside other women.

Moreover, she has been receiving a barrage of criticism on social media.

Did she lead prayers? Well we all know the answer to this.

So dear Azlan. I know you are pretty liberal guy who also has pretty decent knowledge about Islam. But you need to understand that in Islam and its jurisprudence you can't based your opinion on just one hadith or incident. There are many hadith that need to be taken into consideration. And then there is also ijma of ummah that as per Prophet (SAW) is itself a blessing.

So yes it looks like dishonesty. At least to some extent.

The concept of Ijma or Consensus isn't supported by the Holy Qur'an, that however is another debate. Personally I believe that women should not lead prayers, but that too is besides the point. Here we are discussing whether or not Islam allows women to lead men. And I haven't seen anything in the Holy texts which categorically states that women are forbidden to lead men. It's not dishonesty, I am being careful only

Well ijma is supported by Hadith. In clear terms.

But the thing is that as per Sunnah of Prophet (SAW) we don't see any example of woman leading prayers. In fact we find hadith which even asks them to say their own prayer at home.

So obviously it would be the right thing to go with what we learn from Sunnah. That is the right path. If you don't agree to that then there is some sort of dishonesty somewhere.
