First US troops leave Afghanistan as drawdown begins

I do fear for the life of Mr. Hamid Karzai -- at the funeral of his half brother, the Afghan president called for peace with the Talib, but some are opposed to this and the Afghan president's life is in danger.

This Karzai, who lived much of his life in safety of Pakistan, but then accused Pakistan to please US & india,,, After US is gone & india will slip away too, Karzai will NOT find a place in Afghan as he's standing-tall only on the shoulders of amerikis,,, & ofcourse if he tried to return to Pakistan he'll be spanked real hard,,, so ONLY place for him to run would be west where he'll live like Musharaf(the traitor) ... hehhehe ... did I say Musharaf

US helped create it in 80s no doubt; but it was you lot who fostered these groups to be used for strategic depths. The US didn't tell you "hey look, keep these groups on their high jihad diet after we leave so that you could use it for your own gains." So who's fault is it to tame these groups? You always had the choice of avoiding putting your nose in USSR mess. Soviet Union had nothing to do with you. They didn't even want to annex Afghanistan. They just wanted to keep their puppet government in Afghanistan (which was a dozen hundred times better than Taliban in terms of development and social equality and poverty issues). It was as usual you guys who got all worked up and ran to US and US seized this opportunity to face the Soviets through you. If the Soviets had wanted to obliterate Afghanistan root and branch and come for you, they could have done it with ease at that time. With a military that size and equipment to back them up, it would have been walk in the park for them.

Now because of that one blunder of your government, you've put the entire region into chaos and danger.

America is cleaning the mess that shoukd had been done decades ago................help them........it will be better for Pakistan to live in a stable neighbourhood.

It's a drawdown of the surge. If we were removing ALL troops, that would be right...but we aren't.
