Please be on topic, as for sub force Pakistani 90Bs were first to have AIP system in South Asia, they are only behind the IN new Scorpions and going through Mid Life Upgrade as we speak now, all 5 subs can fire AShM missiles (including older A-70s). Still 90Bs can give run for their money to best MPA of IN that is P-8Is, while now they can fire SLCMs upto 450kms.

As for nukes we only announced it in 1998, while had capability since 80s with in 10 years of India's first nuclear test and that is not late. Please use google to confirm.

Why BD now feel they need subs? Its 40 years since Independence and no sub was inducted till Feb 2017, if BD feel safe then what have changed that BD feel it need subs now?

Our subs are way different then yours, because they will be built as per PN requirements making them totally different then even the PLAN subs, those will be more advance then any PLAN subs due to PN's access to western tech.

anyways.... speaking of subs.... india has the better subs and they got aircraft carriers... so the first reason why pakistan bought subs in SA region is pretty much a failed endeavor in pakistan's part... i.e india dominates the sea in the region... and will continue to do so... (trust me i am not happy or taunting you by that but this is the established fact)

Pakistan had computer tested the nukes and Chinese design was used for warhead in 80s and India knew we have nukes because Gen Zia threatened to use them if attacked.

When Pakistan bought first sub India did not had sub as they went for ACC and it was PN sub which scored first kill in war after WW2.

Both India and Pakistan have different doctrine earlier want sea control later want sea denial so different equipment purchase priorities, India want Blue water Navy which Pakistan don't want for its navy.

Currently only Scorpion subs of IN are better then PN's A-90Bs but MLU is going to fix this problem, and 8 new subs are also coming too in near future 4 of them will be built in Pakistan.

What capability those BD subs have? Have BD ordered any upgrade in those subs??

First thing is PN has not disclosed true specifications of those upcoming 8 subs, only S-20 is mentioned which may not be completely true.

Now on topic, what specification those subs have? Any upgraded asked by BD while buying those?

With out India BD was not possible that is big reality, they created MB and provide full support in creating BD that is reality, if India had not involved BD would have remained EP may be with more autonomy.

Sorry to say this but Bangladesh was to be made anyway go deep into history before 1947 Partition, learn about it, It is important to know for many today Bengalis and Pakistani's that if Bangladesh would not have accepted Pakistan as their country and stayed independent state. They would have faced the same fate as Hyderabadis or Kashmiris. If the Quaid was alive, he maybe would have made East Pakistan a separate country later on or maybe convinced them to live with us but we lost the great leader very soon due to which many important decisions could not be addressed by him.

Note: If everything even after getting independence would have been the Quaid's way, we wouldn't be fighting for Kashmiris right today but rather Kashmir would have been the fifth province of Pakistan and we maybe would be today fighting for Hyderabad or Punjab lands which we were deprived of. Alas the deteriorating condition of Quaid and his team which was not much up to the mark to fulfil his vision has us in present disputes.

But according to Todd lindberg classification of naval strength Pakistan navy is rated a 4 which qualifies it as a blue water navy while India is rated a 3....

Bangladesh is rated a 5 currently with limited blue water capability....


The sensors and electronics were upgraded... noise further reduced, not so much is disclosed about them but they have been reported to be able to track surface and submerged targets and attack them...

It was also reported earlier that the 203 million $ were in part for upgrade works of certain unidentified parts of the boat!
