Srinagar, March 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF), Nayeem Ahmad Khan has said that the pro-freedom leadership is not afraid of gallows and will fight against the illegal occupation of India.
Nayeem Ahmad Khan was talking to reporters in the court premises where he was produced before a court for the first time since his arrest on February 8.
Talking about the hanging of Afzal Guru, he said, It was a communal and criminal act of India which exposed the claims it has made on the international level. He added that hanging of Shaheed Afzal Guru has compelled a large number from Indian civil society to think about their judicial system by which innocent people are being killed only to satisfy the collective conscience of the people.
Talking about the ongoing arrest spree by the hands of police, the APHC leader said that it was an old tactic to break the political will of pro-freedom leadership and activists.
He said that the so-called administration was manufacturing cases against the liberation leaders so that their imprisonment was prolonged and the people were left without leadership. A large number of youth have been kept in police stations and interrogation centres so that they were compelled to give up their political stand, Khan said.
