If it is, its usually bacterial or fungal and there are cures. Creams, medicines and such.

I differ with this assumption. Because we have seen around many good families with civilized parents or for that matter civilized fathers but the boy/s behave otherwise.

Just my theory. I could be wrong.

I cannot imagine myself raising a hand on or forcing myself on a woman. Neither I am sure can I see my son do that.

They say when you're dating a girl, look at her mother. See if you like what you see 30 odd years down the line because that's what the girl will look like.

Ditto for the father. The more I grow older, the more I realize that I am my father. And I understand what he went through with me, when I now see my son.

I think if you talk about Indo-Pak then it is not cultural thing since respecting women is the culture and had been throughout history.

In my personal opinion leniency in punishing crimes against women is the reason.

I say cultural thing for the reason that the culture tends to regard women as weak and generally the men have this attitude that barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen is the best wife to be had. From my interactions with Indians and Pakistanis in South Africa and America, the attitude prevails.

Your text book theory might sound nice, but if young men guaged potential female partners by their mothers in late age, Pakistani men or men in general may remain celibate.
