I know that. But as of this moment, the only customer for FC-31 is the PAF.

But now JV in TFX project is also very attractive offer because it can be tailor made as per PAF requirements with high end western tech, filling gap of High end 5th gen plane.

China-Pak-Turkey can be a very powerful consortium for developing and marketing 5+ gen aircrafts. Let's wait and watch.

Look who is coming forward to work with Turkey for TFX also EJ-200 is top of the line prduct which west will not sell to Pakistan until KSA or Turkey are involved, and why Pakistan is happy with Turkish products because they are based on advance western tech.

Yes , their strategy is to replaces f16s by f35s and make tfx for air superiority which will also replace other f16s.....i want same strategy by pakistan to replace f16s by indigenous project and making new squadrons and induct j31 to counter rafale threat...this will also serve as stopgap till 2030 till when paf will start producing its own 5++ gen jet...<<<<according to AIR CHIEF.
Meanwhile F16 will start retiring by 2030 especially the 12 F16A/B ADF units which never got MLU

jf17 design can never become a 5th gen...a new project must start altogether...acm sohail sir said that we will soon start work on our own 5th + gen....so what i see is that we will get 2/3 squadrons of j31 by 2025 to counter rafale s400 and mkis while we make our own fighter or maybe tfx route also possible for long term by 2030 to replaces f16.....

Fc31 use a lot of j20 technology, in case of the revelation of technology, fc31 still didn't get a export license.

No. PAF would like to induct 5th gen aircraft before India.
Unfortunately nothing is available.
It was rumored that the J-31 would be available by 2019. If this is reality then PAF would induct these over 4.5 -4.5++ fighters.


Well it all depends on what tactics have been used. Remember USAF F-22's scored well in the early days but later on it was hunted many times. This was because tactics evolved later on on how to shoot it down.



The issue is how many Rafales would be procured and how many would be fielded on Pakistan's borders. It is most likely that PAF would be against SU-35, and Mirage 2000 of IAF. where as IN would send in Mig 29's. Jaguars would also be used in limited numbers.

To counter these threats net centric approach is the only viable option, something the PAF has mastered.

36 Rafaels are for sure and in case of a war all 36 will be on Pakistani border .... You can ut F16 and jf17 block 3 against rafael but then numbers has to be higher to give a tough time but IAF will counter this approach by sending MKI, mirrages and Migs

Why Turkey develop TFX while buy F35? I think they are quite ambitious.

Bro don't under estimate Turks they have alot more experience in handling F16 than Pakistan and they were better defence products manufacturer so they have big knowledge through being a partner in F35 they produce the fuselage so they can do it in my opinion
