They have a very poor record of doing so. Just because they happen to be in power and privy to more confidential data does not mean they will necessarily make the better choice. There are a lot of vested interests as well.

Still, my advice stands. No other choice. By lamenting, crying foul and ridiculing them wouldn't solve any problem; rather we, as a nation, would loose, whatever little cohesion and solidarity, we have, in these difficult circumstances. Let me tell you a simple fact. Target specific limited calibre cross border operation is nothing new for both the armies. They regularly tracepass the other side, eliminate targets (both man and material) to achieve tactical and sometimes strategic advantage.

We only came to know about surgical strike ( fake or not is another matter to discuss, I have no evidencial data to back up) because govt of India wanted to solidify its 'no nonsense with national prestige' image and to send a strategic message to Pakistan. If GoP decides to do the same you would know it too.

Since 5th August I am hearing from all sorts of people that India is going to do a false flag and than attack Pakistan.. or there will be a genuine terrorist attack and than india would respond and because of which Pakistan will get the opportunity to unleash.. and by this way Pakistan will get away from being the aggressor and get away from international pressure.. but my point is that why don’t we stage a fake surgical strike drama by Indians.. a Balakot like surgical strike where some trees got damaged and by making this base do swift and quick strike in IOK and punish Indians.. Indians will be surprised by this.. And This will force international community to take notice and intervene which Pakistan wants..
and the thing is why do we always wait for Indians to do something.. Why can’t we think out of box and do something extravagant and make situation suitable for us..

However, this is called being too clever by half. These deceptions get found out in time. It is best for India to act with complete disregard of an unscrupulous practice.

I am pretty sure Pak folks are indeed thinking “out of the box” for all the opportunities are now there!!! Remember, a couple of bomb blasts at the Bombay Stock Exchange by Davut Ibrahim put a stop to a riot that killed hundreds of Muslims....
