Falling off our map: By neglecting the economic paradigm Pakistan has become irrelevant to India

its not true.. pakistan can provide big market for our companies.. and also a route to central asia, but the trade off is unnerving to Indian political class, so they pretend it does not exist.
why take risk.. vajpayee did, got nothing, manmohan did got nothing.
However am sure Modi is trying to stabilize the relation, every US president wants to try hands in israel-palestine.. similar with Indian PM.. nobody can truely ignore it.

Beyond rhetorics, secret talks are still on.

Do you see a solution? Do you see a connection between what Pakistan wants & what Indian can give? On Siachen? On Kashmir?

My point is rather straightforward - the Pakistani state simply does not see the situation in the way the rest of the world & especially India see it. You can't convince them otherwise. Almost impossible for Pakistan to execute an about turn on its policies.

yes.. I think leadership on both sides are ready for compromise but cant take the people with them..both have invested too much in hostility..

Want to know the most ardent opposers of MFN for india?
Farmers to protest against MFN to India
India’s MFN status suicidal for Pak farmers | Pakistan Today

In its present form MFN for India is economical murder ofPakistani farmers
This is all paid news by the Establishment to thwart opening trade with India. It's propaganda to protect its own interests, not that of the ordinary Pakistanis.

If Pak farmers are up in arms, how come farmers of other nations India is trading with don't have an issue? Why is it only Pak specific? Now you know! :azn:

Remember, the latest tool of propaganda is the paid media. They can even convince the gullible that the Earth is flat!

Which in this case are rather accurate assumptions. One this generation goes, any sympathy in India and any desire to have anything to with Pakistan other than carry out vengeful massacre will end.

Pakistan has very little to offer India today when compared to all its other trading partners, while on the other hand India has a lot to offer Pakistan as compared to say Afghanistan, Iran or elsewhere.
Not true. We wish to NOT think about Pakistan. We don't want to love her, we don't wish to hate her either. The appropriate word is apathy. Pakistan has moved to a position of little to no relevance. Except pretty girls and cross border attacks.

Paid media ?

We just want a free Kashmir. What India does or does not do after that does not bother us.

There is not much of a compromise possible from India, certainly not anything that Pakistan might feel satisfied with. At the very basis is the complete lack of incentives, what reason does India have to humour Pakistan?

Well, the idea that the world is actually progressing is debatable..since the more I read into it we are literally repeating various "events" and "cycles" with only changes in structures of society and technology. I will be posting an article on it but a read into Al-Berunis Kitab al Hind for e.g. will find many traits of the people of hind which he observed some 1000 years ago still very valid today.
Yer right. If killing fellow man more efficiently is progress, we are progressing. Else not.

there is a lot of room for compromise on Indian side.. Indian leaders indicated anything short of azadi is possible.
its just that we have hardened our stance recently which makes any climbdown look like surrender.

The basic reasons are moral and practical one, we got no business in being in the valley. Once israel palestine is solved world will turn their eye to our misdeeds there, and the pressure will be unbearable.
We will gain a lot from constantly not bickering with our neighbour in every forum, more trade with all our partners in saarc region.
