If we had this approach and this type of leadership a few decades ago, we would have never gone nuclear with the same arguments:

Salahuddin had an army of people like him.We don't have such luxury.
Moreover people think that Muslim warriors just got up decided to go to war.The world isn't like that.You have to be ready for war.Always have to maintain an edge on the enemy. We lost that edge and now have to pay the price.

Don't be dishearten much nor to expect full support from any of the outside players. Pakistan relations were already in cold storage or almost at lower level with US that only Afghanistan peace talks revoke for refreshment in this regard. Otherwise, India has already gone into US camps and not to forget that sounds of "Major Non-NATO US Ally". I don't see that Pakistan fully dependent upon US in this case rather, we have already learnt our due lesson be it the hard way. Things will clear once UNGA session is concluded. The Regional Bloc is already into affect & US knows that very well. It is only matter of time when India gets the shocker as well.

There is no comparison in regard to US treating both countries respectively. India has a lot to offer to serve US interests whereby, we have decided to choose best for our national interest & mutual benefit with US. Just because, we decided to lose less as compare to past; we shall not expect a lot of appraise or as compare to what Trump has to offer to India. Delhi is a big market, a lot of business opportunities & investment and then a party that can be made stronger to counter China & Pakistan at once. On other hand, Pakistan strategically has a lot of influence over the region but may be US want us to sacrifice more that we have had enough already. The regional bloc is now the next thing which is the creation under US pressure tactics. We shouldn't complain in this regard rather, we have to follow our plans for national interests.

The issue is Kashmir's Human Rights Violation have been overlooked, if a Guy/ Government can treat 12 million Kashmiri like this, you can imagine what is cooking in Trump's head

Cold war like Bloc are already forming. Lets hope we choose a better bloc.

National Interest espacially for super powers trump everything.Pakistan is a small country with limited resources. Everyone look out for its own benefits.

Once you aren't looking through nationalistic tunnel at what is being said; you will understand what I suggest. The word Pawn may very much relate to Ashraf Ghani in current situation and the way Modi is heading towards a crash course merely under impression of containment of Pakistan & China; you will find out as how bad its going to affect the future of India. Introspection is what you really need to consider while evaluating Modi mantra at the moment. Modi is only cashing upon rhetoric which was under wraps for last 70 years and he brought that into daylight to the world to see. Extremism, religious intolerance, mob lynching, growing intolerant society & occupational mindset are few references by the others living outside of India for Modi RSS BJP.

Pakistan is strategically more important to US as compare to India in this game but unfortunately, that importance comes with a lot of threats & dangers for us and unlike India, we do not enjoy the fruits of US/West friendship because, India is the one that can be used to contain China not us. On other hand, our safety is what makes Iran safe & similarly, that is what Russia understood as well as China. So all in all, this is how the regional bloc seems to go ahead whereby India can provide everything to US under LEMOA and whatever.
