Facts a Day

And in the same vein, whats wrong with Indians to still stick with lakhs and crores which global citizens dont understand.
Hell, even Pakistan changed to millions. And it was Pakistan which started the color TV first, then came India.
So, why are Indians adamant about their adamant/outdated system?

BTW, Feet/inches/Lbs is a British measurement unit and not American who work with metric system.

What? Who in India buys black and white televisions these days? What you on about? By the way being British you should know Colour is spelled C-o-l-o-U-r and not C-o-l-o-r. That's such an American/Canadian way of writing it. You see what I mean?

Obviously smart arse! Hence, the name 'IMPERIAL (As in British EMPIRE) units'! Duh! And America is One of the only three countries that doesn't use Metric or SI Unit systems! Rest of the world has moved on! Even the country that invented it, doesn't use it that much and is signatory to 'Le Système international d'unités'.

But because America is the biggest market in the developed world, they still dominate almost every field and specially Aeronautics. So it's really annoying for British Students like us to keep converting everything in Imperial units.
