Facepalm: Indian news anchor fired for calling China President 'Eleven Jinping'

. .
Indians making a fool of themselves. No big deal there.
Well unlike Pakistanis, we don't worship the Chinese as lord and protector and patron every day, so an ignorance of a Chinese name is understandable. For a Pakistani, it would be sacrilege to mispronounce the name of the lord, as stateth their national commandments. "Thou shall learn the names of all the glorious Chinese leaders, for they feed you and clothe you."

On topic, it is understandable. 'Xi' is a name unheard of in India, but Roman numeral 'XI' is commonly used. So the brain tends to blurt out the first recognizable word. But a newscaster ought to be better informed.

Is that your final analysis Don ? :D

Absolute final, regarding Indian media for sure.

It does not show arrogance, it shows stupidity, as evident by the fact that anchor got fired.

Lol shouldn't have been fired though, she must have been reading off of a teleprompter in which case it makes sense if she read it as 11 and said it as such.

An indirect attempt to humiliate Pakistani subject!
Interesting...But what to be expected from a layman who is habitual in drawing conclusions by observing few people.
We do not worship chinese ,but giving them respect which they deserve.
I don't give a crap as exactly how do you people pronounce Chinese president's name?( XI or IX)
But I do care if you try to throw shit at my people.
If you hate hungry, poor Pakistanis that much then stay away from us-as simple as that! or else next time try to comment without throwing shit us while thwarting an argument.
Regards

Umm.."Indirect"? I thought I was being as direct as possible. It was fully intended, make no mistake. BTW did you happen to read the post I was responding to? As I have explained before, I reply to people in the same way they write. I am polite to polite posters, rude to rude ones, troll the trolls. Bear this in mind as you read the rest of this post.

Interesting...But what to be expected from a layman who is habitual in drawing conclusions by observing few people.

Again, I have to refer you to the post I was responding to. For an inadvertent mistake on the part of one part time newsreader in a channel nobody watches, your "think tank" generalized the whole country, and said that Indians alwas humiliate themselves. Now tell me how that is not an extreme example of drawing a conclusion from the action of ONE person? How come you did not give this lecture to him when you read his post? Could it be because he has a Pakistani flag and I have an Indian one?

Edit: Oh wait a minute - I see that you even thanked his post. How does one say 'hypocrisy' in Urdu? You are berating me for a generalization after thanking a post that is nothing but a crude generalization?

Bang on target! That is precisely why I responded the way I did. Because somebody was "throwing shit" at my country. I'm sure you understand the reason for my response, since you have stated that you and I share the same feeling of annoyance when somebody insults our country.

If you hate hungry, poor Pakistanis that much then stay away from us-as simple as that!

I do not hate anybody, rich or poor. Unless they have done something hateful.

I'm not quite sure where I insinuated anything like that, that I hate the hungry or poor or even Pakistanis.

or else next time try to comment without throwing shit us while thwarting an argument.

That will depend on what kind of a post I am responding to next time. If that post is "throwing shit" at my country or people unnecessarily, then my response will be in the same vein. If it is polite, then so will be my response. If it is humorous, then my reply shall also attempt to be humorous. If the post is sedate and thoughtful, then my response will be too. You can notice this in every single response I have made on the forum. Including this one.

As for the last few words - you call that an "argument"? Do you really think there was any argument there for me to deflect? All that the post contained was an uncalled for snarky, snippy one liner insulting the whole country.
