It's said to be the most advanced block configuration of F-16, and it's offered to India during MMRCA competition. Although it's just a prototype and never entered production as it's rejected from the competition, but if anyone has seen the spec sheet of this block 70, he'll be surprised to find it's way ahead of all other F-16 blocks even the block 60 and block 52 USAF uses. I wonder why !

That ship sailed, that bird flew away long back. Why are you posting this now? Yes, throughout the MRCA competition, Lockheed-Martin had insisted that F-16IN would be the most advanced version of F-16 ever operational.

However, it would also have been the last F-16 model operational, with no further scope of upgrades. USAF is about to retire it, and so are many other nations. Besides, it did not hold up in IAF's technical evaluation. The EF and Rafale were found to be leagues ahead, and had lots of future upgrade potential as well.

F-16IN was Lockmart's attempt at giving one last lease of life to their venerable and august product, a last glorious flicker of a dying flame. India chose to accept the young, raging fires instead.

I was just going thought it and found it interesting... It would have been nice to see F-16IN into production.

F-16 Block 70 IN would have been on par with J-10B in terms of technology? :o:

Little information is known of this version in order to make a rational comparison with the Chinese plane. However, the two upgrade schemes are extraordinarily similar.

F-16IN is completely irrelevant now.

And that picture is from 2007; that picture is a fanboy art. Nothing more.
