F-16, Su-30MKI Face Off During Singapore-India Joint Military Exercise

Joint exercise with the Singapore airforce will help India in developing tactics against the f-16 types of aircraft and help in better understanding of the two airforce. Hopefully both the airforce are benifited with this exercise.

.
Thank you for the much needed entertainment, hope the IAF also adopts these tactics, make an approach at say 50 000 + feet, let the GCI or an AWACS pick you up like a sitting duck and fire a couple of high altitude SAMs, no need to scramble any fighters....
Ever heard of the term, tree top height or below radar cover, the height and BVR certainly didn't help your Fulcrum flight as they were left exposed for a good twenty minutes to even WVR F-16s before being alerted by Indian GCI.... and before criticising someone's post count or avatar, one should have the moral to adopt originality. :pop:

For the love of GOD why do you think we are procuring our S400 systems. They are not their for ASAT abilities but rather providing the protective "Aerospace Superiority" first followed by flankers moving in with goods followed by Jags/Mirages for deeper bombing escorted by Mig29s providing covers along with other MKIs. in future patrolling within Indian space will be LCA armed with BVRs and fed by AWACs/MKIs/Rafales and DPSA of jags may see joining of Rafale providing another layer of mix aerial/ground combat into play.

Most probably with no new BVR missile in the league of Derby ER or may be Meteor types or much more modern BVR with enlarged No Escape Zone, the BVR combat itself will become more favourable of IAF.

I am very interested on Novator or K100. Its NEZ is suppose to be very high and yet i am not having much links . IF anyone has some more elaborate details on the Awacs killer and its induction into IAF inventory, will be greatful.
They are very much strategic in nature, and most probably very less knowledge and information would be out in the public domain. And may be denied that its existence.

When you watch Indians inducting 3 aircrafts against 1 aircraft of PAF in their doctrines but advocating that RSAF pilots are good than PAF pilots.

No one is saying that RSAF pilots are superior than PAF one but whenever any one try to bring technology in count lot of members starts chanting the myth of mighty super-duper invincible pilots, when their adversaries had very potent radar and AWACS systems supported by SAM.

It's not going to be gladiator like fighting plz tell me how many of PAF planes had decent jamming pods or except F-16 how many can fire BVR

.
No surprise there. Singaporean airforce has stationed one squadron of F-16 block52+ in India for 8 years now.

That's an advance base of the Western Alliance to which India has outsourced its defense against China. Partition, 1947, did not see closure of various secret bases / listening posts that the British and the Americans maintained in India. US/Western military presence in India continues in some form or other.

That comes from a "ELITE MEMBER" 18.5K posts & 39.5K likes

well most of the BVR engagements happen at high altitudes or for that matter medium altitudes or is it that only PAF has AWACS or ground based radars lol do you have any idea what we have in this department

i know what is tree top level (100m)but before coming to that you still have to climb an altitude of 2.5K m or is that only PAF aif sollahs have developed some new rules of aviation or do you think MKI dosent have a radar , EW suites Jammers or chaffs & Flairs or for that matter WVR missiles .... this guy is funny

Trouble is that arm chair generals have become experts in every field, but it does help to listen to experts and military analysts every now and then, basically, they argue that unlike say US and Russia or China..... India and Pakistan share a common border.....translating to very little fighter jet flying time between the two countries, under the circumstances, they concluded that even the AWACS will be struggling to monitor and distinguish all the incoming and outgoing traffic....in any case, your package pattern looks good on paper lest you forget, India is neither US or Israel and Pakistan is certainly not Iraq or Palestine.

A reason that the Chinese had given out for the 1962 attack was the continued British listening posts perched on the Himalayas monitoring the Chinese. It turned out, Nehru was not aware of their existence earlier.

I think you are talking about the listening device placed in the himalayas for monitoring chinese nuclear device test in tibets. However may be you are right, because in 1962, Nehru demanded 62 squardon of fighter planes, with us technicians and pilots to assists, and even wrote letter to the US president.

Take a pick than War veteran with 3rd/4th Generation fighter Or Normal pilot with most advance fighter jet.
Certainly high tech and unmanned do counts but they have their own limitation too....
then you should send afridi out in the ground with a tennis ball bat.......he will surely hit sixes:agree:

Because those Sukhois are piloted by Russians and not Indians.
then probably a fishing boat with BN sailors is as lethal as an aegis destroyer right???
