August 17/17: Argentina has stopped negotiations

over the possible purchase of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Kfir fighters after earlier indications that Buenos Ares was close to agreeing to an order of between 12-14 aircraft. While the Kfir first entered operational service more than 40 years ago, IAI were offering the Argentine military upgraded Block 60 variants, which includes a GE Aviation J79 engine, Elta Systems’ EL/M-2032 active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar and an open architecture avionics suite that allows customers to install its own systems. However, pricing of the Kfirs has been a sticking point in the negotiations, and news that Argentina has stopped talk may indicate that they may instead move ahead with an offer to purchase six second-hand Super Étendard carrier-borne fighters from France.

The latest rumor (November 2017) suggested that another African country has ordered 4 but this has yet to be announced.
 
There was also talk of follow on for first customer plus others like Azerbaijan [emoji1039] , Morocco [emoji1173] and Siri Lanka , someone posted Siri is going for su but nothing official or not seen any contract award only thing last time announced was a rfp or put on the street news

Remaining Su-30Ks for Sri Lanka?
ROSOBORONEXPORT IS said to be close to finalising the sale of the final six ex-Indian Air Force (IAF) Su-30Ks to Sri Lanka. Previously, Angola, which purchased 12 of the 18 aircraft available, had considered buying the remaining jets. A report on September 22 confirmed purchase of the six aircraft for the Sri Lankan Air Force (SLAF) was being negotiated, with a contract signing expected by the end of this year.

The aircraft have been in storage at the 558th Aircraft Repair Plant (558 ARZ) in Belarus since being shipped from India when they were replaced by Su-30MKIs. Preliminary negotiations for their purchase for the SLAF were held between November 2-4 last year, when an initial protocol was signed. In June 2014, a technical evaluation report by the SLAF and defence ministry provided a comparison of the Su-30K with the JF-17. This determined that both were considerably more advanced than the SLAF was used to or required. It was conceded, however, that the low cost of the Su-30Ks made them an attractive option and the purchase should go ahead. Dave Allport
