The whole world is now seeking 5th gen stealth fighter jets and you are happy about your.... 3rd gen Junk Fighter-17, India seeking a state of the art Rafale/FGFA, while you are seeking more of the technologically retarded Junk Fighter-17 :chilli:

4th 4.5th or 5th gen is marketing terms. But in reality technologies keeps evolving. Pakistani members are getting too emotional and excited on an article written by some Desi Bundalbaz with zero defence knowledge. Let them celebrate!!

.
with the jf17 you say they are building 150. to replace the j-7 and the miragesIII/v the j-7 and total mirage fleet go toa combined total of 343.

do you think that paf is cutting the air force in half? or are they to be subsidised with other jets

F16, jf17 and mirages are not the end of workd for paf. Paf will induct more high tech chinese jets in near future and also add more used f16 with mlu from other countries.

.
Made in China and assembled in Pakistan, wont scare anyone.
what? it is a joint project both have equal stakes in the project and either side takes responsibility for specific roles . example Pakistan is in charge of sales and marketing also it does air shows to prove capability. where as china does
r and d with new tech i.e. aesa radar and new weapons. both countries manufacture the jets from scratch.

sorry but i did not understand your first sentence, it does not make sense.
F16, jf17 and mirages are not the end of workd for paf.

how ever as for the second part, where exactly will you get the used f16 from? any specific countries your keeping your eye on

This is not the only article, about avdozen such articles have been published in last 3 months in indian media, written by indians themselves.

But any nothing against lca is difficult to digest for lca fan boy, as it touches their egos.

well! that 3rd gen junk fighter is our own home made and it is flying in large numbers not like tejas whom Iaf induct just not to humiliate nation with makiing of a jets in 32 years still doesn't get IOC..

and by the way when India seeks a state of the art Rafale/FGFA, you will find something like them in Paf..

My Apology for typing errors as i use my mobile phone for posting comments.

it's not even ready for india so how can it be ready for export?
Tejas was never focused for the export nor does the weapon export was priority for the DRDO/HAL or any govt PSUs nor India have much experience in marketing and support for the product. India itself has a huge market and the govt emphasis is on reducing the import in defense sector.

.
then why dont they
1.buy rafale?
2.build/buy more MKI
3.build tejas, use it and get done with it

whats the hold up in all three and more options?
I am not sure what exactly you are asking.
We have heavy end fighter fleet of Su30MKI's and will be procuring Rafale and PMF FGFA, on the medium spectrum - We operate Mirage I 2K and Mig29 UPG, on the light spectrum we need an aircraft to replace aging fleet of Mig21's and Mig27 and add 5 additional squadrons to maintain operation capability.
This is where Delays in LCA has hurt us. We do not intend to replace Light fighter requirement with twin engine Long range Air Dominance or medium Weight Omnirole platforms.

. .
i thing i am very much correct.
to summarise :
1. the tejas is project that is 15 years behind schedule.
2. the design is now obsolete, as confirmed by iaf officers.
i think Pakistan does not need to worry to much about the tejas.or worry at all. how ever it is a good learning experience as you can iron out any problems in future developments such as the hal amca.
Good for you then You know more about timeline of the project than us.
If you think that the Project started in 1975 then indeed your information is unquestionable. There is nothing to discuss on that.

Yes, should be taught in management, product development and engineering classes....on how NOT to handle an ambitious project.

It's even more funny that Indians have to come here and justify everything that goes with it.
Project is a project, In which PMP course did the teach you to differentiate between a ambitious one and a regular one?

i am well aware the tejas the india specific , i am sure i have mentioned this before in the thread somewhere.
and india's growing defence industry is for india only and not for export

the project started on 1975 where india was able to identify that in the future that it will need to replace the mig 21 and mig 27 the idea was brilliant, genius. it's India being prepared for the future. but i think this idea did not trickle down to the government and those stalling such developments. and prevented it from happening sooner. at the time the jet was supposed to be released the jet would be good. but now 15 years later it's not worth it for india. the more you develop it the more you embarrass your self.

The facts are that JF-17 is Chinese designed, manufacteed and only assembled in Pakistan. This low cost fighter suits countries with limited budget to replace older fighters. The Indians are just using JF-17 as an excuse to increase their strength to threaten Pakistan.
pakistan has given serious inputs in design also.a cheap multi-role fighter air craft cable of competing all 4th gen aircrafts.yes mig-21 n others 3rd gen crafts those are eventually going to be replaced as they have lived their lives :).it is a excellent replacment.

thats why pakistan and china are exporting it. to replace the mig 21 and the j-7's not all countires can afford and maintain mig 29's
