There is no reason to assume that the PM has to operate on independent jugdement, he is allowed to operate under the judgement of others since it is the party that is elected to power and not the PM. The Party can operate whichever whay it wants.

If tomorrow in wartime a crucial decision like deployment of nuclear submarine has to be done, would you like it to be done by an extraconstitutional authority? Or by a prime minister elected by popular vote?

How is that any different from foreign rule? Might as well let the British make the decisions for us, right?

What is the purpose of voting and election then? May be communist regime regime would be suitable? Even they have a good grass roots election.
